Spark Advance

At idle my spark advance goes wild, jumps between -5 to +20 not only does the RPD show this, but I can hear it in the tone of the engine.

What would cause this? I recently changed my plugs and it seemed to help a little but only for the first few days

Well I never had a issue till frofstofalls car and him and I ended up going back to a older file but loading all the old perameters I changed and it was fine. As if the file was corrupt. But there are a lot of factors that can cause this. Dirty maf, condensation on maf, fuel, heat soak, purge valve, ect. But you won't always have the same timing at idle. It'll fluctuate a Lil.

If its a noticeable bounce then have tuner check your logs. Like James said, we went back to square one. I think my DALs were outta wack and I also think my laptop is messing with files but that's a whole other thing.

It doesnt fluctuate like one place one time and another at a different time, it bounces. ALL the time so it shouldnt be fuel, im just looking for a place to start looking.
As far as loading an old file, I cant get in touch with nick on his website, phone, or here so i cant do that.

Do you think it would be condensation on the MAF if it does it in 90 degree weather the same as it does in 10 degree weather? It happens the same in both

I could clean the MAF

probably an EVAP issue. mines doing this but its because my EVAP solenoid is stuck open. your afr's should also be around 17 or more at idle.

You should see about having another tuner look at your tune.

Do you own the HPTuner or do you have to meet up with him? If you don't own one, see if anyone in your area does then ask them if you can rent it or have them help you get remote tuned by someone. Thats what I would do.
