Spark plugs with Trifecta tune?
Should the new plugs be a step colder than stock? I have a 23 PSI tune from Trifecta on the car now with 20k miles. What are good plugs to replace stockers with?
I've been running a Trifecta tune since my car had about 3k on the clock. I'm now at 27k, the stock plugs have given me no trouble. If you haven't been experiencing any problems, I'd personally stick with a stock plug type and ensure they are gapped at .35 if I remember correctly.

If u have no mods.. stockers r best apparently.. if u have mods and start experiencing troubles with stockers, like I did, I'd recommend NGK laser iridium 3787's (ILTR6A-8G if that's the correct #). Stock gap is .035 if it has issues at that gap, reduce it to .030 If you still have issues.. get a colder plug like the laser iridiums

I've been thinking of going back to stock heat range. I really have no noticeable performance differences in them but the colder plugs do cause a slight popping at idle through the exhaust and I can hear the in spent fuel POP in between some shifts.
At the hillclimb this past weekend, I was getting a misfire with the stock plugs on the second half of the 2.2 mile course, 29K miles. Only thing I could get locally was Autolite iridiums, since I had limited runs, I gapped them to .030 to be on the safe side. Misfire went away, but I honestly felt a decrease in power, especially in the lower rpm range. Could be my imagination though. Course was very steep, and only developed the misfire on the second half of it (basically full throttle the entire time, 122.1 Duryea Hillclimb).
I would use a feeler gauge instead of the ring to check the gap. Don't force it into the gap either, eye it up. The fine tip Iridium plugs are VERY easy to destroy and at $7-$8 a piece.. I wouldn't chance it.
