SS/SC tranny mounts on T/C

would the tranny mounts from the SS/SC bolt on to the T/C? or would it require modding and such? thanks.

Your tc is better than one with polys in. I've driven my buddies ss/tc and it hops nothing like my car on stock mounts. If you're going to change mounts you want rotated mounts.

no no no.. lol

I'm saying something like a TTR poly mount or the OTTP mounts. I'm giving him the benifit of the doubt here assuming he's upgrading

IMO that is a lateral move, the only forward move would be rotated mounts.
The stock ss/tc mounts are not that bad at all....I whipped my buddies car from a dead stop around a corner and lit them up through 1st and 2nd and didn't hop at all.
All that polys are gonna do is shake the **** outta your car.

a better move.. yes

lateral move... absolutely not

any poly insert is far stiffer than the stock mounts regardless.

[QUOTE]

could you explain? i don't get it, thanks.

and if the SS/SC has the same mount(not bushing) as the T/C, isn't it still a same upgrade if i get the SS/SC mount with poly bushing insert?

Sigh. Please research what you are talking about.

That kit is the GM upgrade for the ss/sc. The mounts that you are upgrading if you have an ss/sc, are the stock mounts in the ss/tc, you know, the same ones that GM designed to eliminate wheel hop.

"This kit is specially designed to eliminate wheel hop on your 2005--2007 Cobalt SS/SC or ION Redline so that you can get all of your power to the ground."

Sooooo, you want to get poly mounts, that are also, designed to eliminate wheel hop and get all your power to the ground, but your stock mounts already do as good as a job as poly mounts will, without the shaking that will come with polys.
As I said and will say for the last time, about the only upgrade worth it is rotated mounts, as the stock mounts aren't rotated IIRC.

Hey don't listen to me though, go ahead and waste money.

I will just say, I have rotated mounts, stock motor mount, no wheel hop unless the road has imperfections in it.

okay, thanks 05slowline. i guess i will just get the motor mount in the future, since you have no hops with rotated mount but stock motor mount. guess i could do the opposite like stock T/C mount with TTR motor mount. your opinion?

Personally I'd just let everything stock, unless you're finding you are excessively hopping, in that case I'd get rotated mounts only.

There's no pissing match you are simply wrong. I'm sorry you were mislead into believing otherwise.

really? Because heaven knows that I haven't tested and compared BOTH the ttr inserts along with the ttr stop mounts all while finding ZERO defference between the 2 other than price, and a nicer looking engine mount....

nope... wouldn't know a thing

Uh, if you say so. Lmfao.
A poly insert in a stock mount will not do the same thing as a rotated mount you fucknut.
You should just stop while you're ahead you look dumber by the post.
I guess that you are more intelligent and more informed than John Powell and GM though, right? HAHA.

oh boy here we going with the name calling...

Yes the rotated mounts are supposed to align the axles better and all these grand things. Unfortunately I haven't seen a damn difference between the 2, especially if his car is completely stock. (sorry OP, I don't know if it's stock or not I'm just using that as an example).. $50 for a cost effective upgrade over the stock mount, as compared to almost $300 for an upgrade that does little more than look pretty in comparison is hardly worth it.

Just because I don't completely agree with you is no reason to start resorting to highschool name calling antics.
