Do you have the RPD option on your car? If so check your A/F to make sure your car is not stuck in PE mode. That would cause you to get really bad mileage. Either that or a stuck injector or a huge vac leak.

He means that for every 100KM he drives, he burns 11 Liters of gas on average. Not MPG. I think the states and sri lanka are the last ones on the imperial system...

Our boost gauges look kinda dumb though in Kpa..

no dood, the car has the ability to switch to MPG and i did so to watch the MPG and be able to get more responses/help.

Suggested causes of my bad MPG
1. I do ALOT of idling, probably 30-60mins a day on average i'd imagine
2. Yes I have a very heavy foot
3. I can't see it being a gas leak, I'd notice the leak in the parking garage at work
4. Boost leak i can't see it being that either, i'd notice that on the throttle and be missing power, as well my boost gauge wouldn't sustain any level of boost under WOT

I THINK that maybe the idling+heavy foot is the answer but JUST incase something else could be wrong I wanted to check.........if I take it to the dealership and they find nothing wrong I'll get charged for the labor and I 100% KNOW i cannot afford hours of labor from a GM shop at over $100/hour.

zero CEL's to date, DIC? Honestly, IMO, if something was wrong I figure i'd notice less power but to me it feels like it's all there........in some senses i hope something is wrong and i can get warranty, but in another sense I rly hope NOTHING is wrong because nobody wants problems with a brand new car.

Dude, if you are idling 30-60 min a day that is an extra couple gallons burned and no distance traveled. That and your heavy foot and cold weather could produce some pretty bad gas milage. What is you milage reading when cruising at 60 mph(99km/hr) on flat ground? If it is anything less than 32-34 mpg you may have a problem, but IDK.

it's under warranty, i shouldn't EVER have to fix a damn thing on this car for like 5+ years outside of warranty beyond wear and tear like tires and brakes.

So what is your actual CALCULATED MPG, not what your DIC is saying. The problem could be a computer issue and nothing even fuel related.

The cold weather I know is killing my MPG, it's been on average 30F and below for the past 2 months nearly. Beyond that, I'm almost NEVER on the freeway or highway doin 60MPH but when I get a chance I will do a short trip on the highway to see wat happens.

well the DIC is still logging under 300km a tank........it could be from my idling tryin to stay warm when it's below freezing temps in combo with my heavy foot but.........i dunno, i still wanna say something seems wrong.

As in calculated fuel range?

Log your miles/kms via the Trip Odometer, when you fill up, log how much fuel you put in and do the calculation manually. There have been issues with the fuel calculations before. I've had mine tell me I only got 17mpg before or that I only have 150 miles on a full tank.

25.1 avg since owning the car. 11,400 miles. That includes city, hwy, and racing. If I had to guess...

70% hwy 25% city 5% racing (or just accelerating fast)

So this is your on-paper calculation then. You made it sound like you just reset the DIC and were going by what it said.

i haven't made the calculations entirely, i just can roughly tell that under 300km per tank is not good but we'll see how it goes as it gets warmer outside.

11 mpg's is either a mistake in calculations or you have a serious problem....
when I go lapping on the road course and I'm WOT as much as possible I get 8 MPG....
and I know your 11mpg is not while lapping....

take it to the dealer and let them fix it....that's what warranty is for

i'll do that when i am 120% sure something is wrong cause if they don't find anything I get charged.
