This is the only time mine has slipped, but it quickly grabs afterwards. I love not having to downshift to pass someone, but my clutch sometimes doesn't agree.

It has never slipped on agressive driving or when shifting.

Lot's of ****. Some ***** and dicks. Moons. Bare assed naked singles AND couples. Head jobs. A few actually screwing. God bless cruise control. On and on and on! Women doing their hair in the fast lane. LOTS of coffee, donuts and newspapers. All at the same time. And then, just when you think you've seen it all comes something you've never dreamed you'd ever see from the drivers seat. I've pulled dead people out of wrecks just to get to the ones still alive. Helped right an upside down car on the side of the road in the snow bank and helped the cute coed get it restarted and get her on her way at Christmas time. Stuck in the snow on I-84 in CT for 13 hours not able to turn a wheel cause even the salt shakers couldn't get to us. Driving up and down PA's two lane Rt 209, better known to the truckers as the "Ho Chi Min Trail" because just about once a week there would be a BAD truck wreck somewhere in it's 28 mile length. The road was so narrow the opposing trucks mirrors would hit ocassionally. Car traffic was almost nonexistant. They were scared to go out there at night. For many truckers that was the road to Heaven. Or maybe Hell. A portable parking lot (car hauler) runs into a 48' trailer having trouble on the side of the road, loaded with hair spray aerosoles and burns sending fireballs into the sky better than any 4th of July. The burn mark on the highway was there for years as a reminder. A truck swerves to pass a car waiting to make a left turn on a two lane road. The driver sees the truck and floors it to the right leaving the truck going head on into another truck going in the opposite direction. The combined impact, estimated by the NY State Police was greater than 110 MPH. The driver that swerved somehow ended up UNDER his own truck. His shoes still on the clutch and brake pedals. Both drivers killed. The stories go on and on. Some better than others. Some funny. Some sad. Lots of memories. NOBODY is invinceable.

$20 says the GM Tune will not allow the clutch to slip in any gear at any RPM. So you don’t have to downshift and just about REDLINE it just to pass someone which seems like it’s more abusive then just leaving it in gear and passing...

I dont know about that but I believe most of the clutch problems people are seeing are more from abuse than anything my clutch has never slipped on my car.

I think i'm going to go Stage 2+, not Stage 3+

stage 2+ will be able to handle all the power I will ever throw at it, and is much more like the stock clutch than the Stage 3+.... no doubt the 3+ is the better clutch, but its overkill... I won't ever need it, a few bolt-ons and a tune is all my car will ever see... if you plan on getting in the 350+whp range, i'd opt for the 3+

Hey folks, dont forget that you can also use PART-throttle to pass cars on the highway... Yess torque is great and everything, but when you really want to accelerate, you downshift anyways.

So I'm getting the tune next week, because making the car a beast is more important to me than being able to have huge torque in 4th and 5th at 2k...

I Think With Just The Trifecta Tune And Maybe Charge Piping The Clutch Should Be Fine. Wonder If A Short Shifter Kit Will Help Preserve Clutch, Probably Unrelated....

No abuse here at all Term. And with only 5k miles- mostly being babied, it slipped from the start with the tune. Chances are you'll be posting soon on how ur's is slippin a bit. At any rate we have some people saying yes and some saying no. I think it would be in the best interest of the person getting the tune to assume clutch replacement is going to b needed. Then there is no dissapointment.

Oh yeah- don't forget about that bright red slip that comes with the tune that highly recommends that the clutch and boost tubing should b upgraded with the new power lvls.
