Stage 1 Map Sensors

I bought a mint 2010 fully tuned cobalt ss/tc (know it's tuned because it pulls at 24 psi). Problem is the last owner knew nothing about the tune it had on it.

That being said, the vehicle has the stock GM stamped map sensors, something that I know is usually changed when car is tuned.

My question is, is it worth it to buy the stage 1 map sensors, find out what tune it has and then get it tuned for those map sensors? Car builds boost great as it is. Are there any disadvantages of having the stock map sensors on a tuned cobalt?

Thanks.

No, there is literally no disadvantages of not having the 3bar map sensors. They are a piece of mind upgrade, if the car is running ok right now don't worry about it. I would suggest getting the tune file figured out to be sure you don't have a lot of CELs turned off.

Thanks! I have a friend with hptuners interface, can I just plug it in without buying tokens?

Yes, The only time you would need the credits is to unlock your VIN to write tunes to the car.
