Does anybody know when Stage 2 from GM Perfomance will get the Stage 2 released? I heard its suppose to be a Cold Intake to accomadate with the MAF sensor from having any more problems like Air/Fuel Ratio.

yeah, its either I heard GM is or isn't going to be released. so, I'm looking forward to the new KN Cold Intake, which may be more superior to the other Cold Intakes having issues with the MAF sensor. Right now, I'm playing the waiting game for the KN and see if GM will released the Stage 2 before I make another move.
Plan A: wait for anything from GM to come out. It GM can put something out it will be better than stock.
Plan B: Do nothing...............aftermarket products are hit and miss and from ppl I've talked to it really creates a turbulant air flow and doesn't help the car out at all.......which is too bad because the sound that it creates overall in the whole car is awsome.........I wish they all worked out better than stock.

I'm sure thats going to get you real far...........
But it would be nice to see............
So this model can no longer be ordered..............which makes it dead....lo
do you think they will continue to put time and money into an intake????
I have no idea but it doesn't sound logical

Luckly, I gotten mine before 2010, since the Chevy Cruze is going to be its sucessor, but nothing special about it, other than it looks good both interior and exterior, but no go.
Cruze.....not so good looking,
i think the 09's were the best year to buy, not just cause thats what I got.
It had many of the bugs worked out, like the rotors and throttle postion sensors and stuff.....
and you could add optins like a sunroof if you choose, not like the 2010's where you get everything or nothing.
just my .02

They fixed the front rotor problem but not the rear rotor problem.
Bill said he was not supposed to talk about future products from GMPP.
I don't know if that means they are keeping a tight lip on it or it's in a development phase. Probably just means it's dead.

But then again, it seems that if it was alive, they would tell us that so we don't buy something else...
Basically it is just a mystery...
There's a reason GMPP canned the intake with our kit and a reason why Bill asked for the forum's input on aftermarket intakes and people's experience with them. Experiences with aftermarkets have been hit or miss. Fitment issues, loss of HP or TQ (with the other increasing), etc. The fact that the airbox is bolted to the inner fender on the Cobalt is causing headaches with intakes. Change the lift just slightly under throttle and the MAF gets completely different air flows. Come out with a **** poor design at the turbo inlet and you could end up with turbulence...the list goes on.
While I'm hopefuly GMPP will come up with a solution I'm not holding my breath. Besides, companies have shown the stock airbox flows fine and can be easily modified to increase air flow that much more. I'm waiting to see if anyone solves the problem, and if anyone can I put my faith in Bill and the GM engineers...but if we never see a Stage 2 (or a GMPP intake for that matter) I won't be hugely surprised.

For some random reason, I called Jeff Gordon Chevrolet about the cost on the Stage 1 installment for tomorrow. They said it will take about an hour to install the intake and the reflash for $165. I wasn't paying attention, until my mind rewind. I was like "intake?". I called back and explained to him it was two TMAP sensors plus the reflashed. So somebody let the cat out of the bag. He said, "well it mention from our past installment an intake then the reflahed". So I was like "okay, I'll see you tomorrow" and the GM does cover the Stage 1 under warranty after installment. So, who knows if GM is keeping the Stage 2 hidden from us.

Well, I figure he had it mixed up with something else like the GM Cold Intake that goes to the LS 2.2 Ecotec motors for $325. But, he corrected himself afterwards, so its $165. Yeah he kind of got me going there, but I knew it was a mix up.
