I always wait for the vacuum to drop to 20 and the rpms to drop around 1,000. She seems to be fine after that.

Only time I get 'bucking' is at low speed in 1st gear (parking lot speed) where sometimes a resonance sets up between the engine and suspension when holding the gas in the same position.

might i suggest compustar remote start/alarm
that's what i'm getting... supposed to be the best you can buy, my brother inlaw got one for his GT-R. course i'm not sure if the lower end remote systems come with remote start. i know mine does. i know they start at like 300ish as far as price. but it's worth it.

the one i'm getting has a 6000 foot range. ballin.

here's a link www.compustar.com

i'm getting the Pro 2WSSR remote. it's like a little less than 850 after tax and that includes installation... life time warranty on installation, and i think a 3 year warranty on the remote or soemthing and that 850 inclues a 75-100 dollar bypass system so you don't have to run it thru the computer in the car. not bad. plus i wanna know when someone doors my car. make them bitches pay for it... tells you all that stuff on the remote. gonna be halarious when someone hits it in the school parking log and my remote starts beeping and vibrating in class... tells you what side they hit and everything. and you can make it to were the alarm doesn't sound so they don't drive off. make sure they give me 100 to fix the paint lol. and buy me dinner, or it's a hit and run felony. jerks.

you'd have to read up on all the cool **** they do... and there is a cold start setting on it too. if the temp in the car is a certain degree it automatically does it i think.

Yeh it happened to me once, like my first week, right when I hit second the fuel, seemed like it completely shut off.

My best advice it let it warm until your RPM's drop to right under 1k. I usually let my warm up until coolant temp is around 130, and dont apply full boost until coolant temp is around 160, and even though its more than likely not needed considering the cool down rate of our "small" turbos, I let it cool down for about a minute before I shut it off.

There is a reason gm didn't put remote start on this vehicle from the factory. Manual transmissions are not a good idea to be putting remote start on. You should be leaving your car in gear when you park it, and this is the main reason why remote start isn't a good idea on a manual trans car.

uh. the car won't start if its in gear. this is one of the few systems that actually work right. you have to have it in neutral and the prking break on. the remote has an icon that tells you when you can use the remote start feature.t there is a certain way you activate i. it's fool proof. before you turn it off if im not mistakin, you have to leave your foot on the break. put the car in neutral and have the parking break on before your remote will allow you to start the car...

if the car is in gear or you don't do it in a certain sequence the remote won't give you the option to start the car

I never leave until my water temps hit 100 degrees and I have never had a problem. The same rule applies to my 5.0 mustang

That sounds like a great plan...leave the car in neutral and rely only on the amazing cobalt e-brake to hold the car from rolling.

... what's wrong with the e-brake??

it's not going to magically come lose or something. if it works when you pull it, it will keep the car from rolling when your not in it... i don't know about yall but i know when i leave for school. i won't have time to let it sit for a minute or two. lol. i sleep to late for that pshh. ha. so i'll start it a minute or two before i leave. It's not really that good to run ur engine right after you crank the car anyway. like start and go. plus it's sucks ur gas down.

plus when it's cold outside i want that hoe to be warm when i get in it
freeze my grapes off. lmao

yup. every SS ive seen does this. wideband goes lean as **** and it starts to buck. if i have to drive it cold, i just ease on hte throttle ever so lightly and let it go if it starts to lean out.

and yes the car will start when its in gear. a few times i have left it in gear and also put the ebrake on, it starts and i forget its in gear and i let out the clutch, stalling it. I only resort to leaving it in gear when i have to park on a steep slope. otherwise i just jack teh Ebrake. sometimes it takes a lil more force to make it stay but it works good enough.
