Nice job stepping up and getting it fitted to the LNF. It may not be for everyone looks-wise, but its hardly as bad as some of the other trends everybody goes crazy for these days. I wanted one for my S/C back in the day, when they first came out, although the contraption they used as a SRI was pretty awkward.

Not that my opinion matters, but this hood looks pretty damn dorky.. Ram air only looks good on a few cars, and most of them begin with Camer and end in O.

The thing thats keeping off this hood is the price. I just can't justify paying 300% markup. thats too much money on fiberglass. If it were carbon fiber, I would have an order in already, but for fiberglass, i need that price to drop a bit.

I'd be extremely interested in this hood if it actually lowered IAT's on the K&N intake. Of course I am about improving performance over appearance. GO>>>>>show. I bought a damn Cobalt didn't I? That ugly quick little bastard is the most fun I have with my clothes on.

It *could* lower the temps a tad with the short ram intake (K&N), but with a TURBO it's not gonna make much of a difference anyway since the air is heated up again under boost and it's the IC that really matters here. BTW.... The STOCK air box set up gets OUTSIDE AIR ONLY.

You know we have a turbocharger right? That wonderful little heat box generating 1000+ degrees of heat? A couple degrees of IAT drop pre turbo isn't going to change anything. You want lower IAT's...get a better intercooler and/or meth.

Hi everyone,

I had the hood installed. For everyone that wants to know the performance aspect it has lowered my IAT temperatures to +/- 3 degrees of whatever the atmospheric temperature is. This is a big improvement, as I live in Florida, and before my K&N SRI was getting up to 106 degrees, and its not even that hot yet. It was designed to fit the K&N SRI; however, if you have an intake that fits in the exact same place it should work just the same. First and second gear feel much better with the intake getting the colder temperatures, and this is especially true when the air conditioner is on.

I finally got the hood done today. Took 7 business days to paint it, rediculas, but it looks very nice. Here are the pictures.
