sunroof

to all the guys with a sunroof on their tc, does the sunroof close totally flush with the roof of the car or does the back stick up just a little bit past, still being sealed but ya.

Mine sticks up past the roof a little too. I think 2mm is acceptable but it makes lots of wind noise and im not 100%sure mine seals. Im going to try to adjust it when it warms up a little.

On both sides there are two torq bolts that can be backed off to adjust the deck height.

mine does the same as most ppl said. sticks up a lil in the back and makes wind noise. i can almost eliminate the noise by sliding the slider shut. but no water yet (knock on wood)

Mine's flush at the front, back left & right sides but raised up in the center rear. I think the contour of the glass is wrong. It doesn't match the shape of the roof. No leaks, but wind noise over 80mph. I might see about getting it replaced this spring when I go in for the stage kit.

Mine has been replaced and it is adjusted all the way down and it still sticks up a little, but it is a lot better than the original glass. It was warped pretty bad and it leaked like a crazy at speeds above 45 mph. Now it leaks only if I get close to triple digit speeds.

Roll the windows down a little and then close it see if that works. It might be creating pressure inside of the car. I had this happen on my CTS.

i think he is right. mine will sit flush if i close it with the door open but then if i close the door with the window up it pops back up due to the air pressure.

That is exactly what mine does but there is really no reason for that because they have the car vented somewhere else to let the excess pressure out.

The sunroof wondow is SUPPOSED to be higher in the back....its supposed to be 2-3mm above the roof in the back and 0-1mm below the roof in the front.

They also dont seal water tight, nothing you can do about that, thats why they have drains..........

Care to explain why they want that slight rake in the sunroof? Is it to keep water from being forced in the front during highway speeds?

Mine does...but no leaks...no wind noise...not touching it...only adjust if you have one of these two problems...

Yup. Higher at the back edge is how all GM sunroofs get aligned, its called "shingling"

Mine sticks up in the back, but when I looked at a 06 supercharged the other day his was flush all the way around and it looked as if his had different weather stripping than the new ones.

Oh, also if you do adjust your sunroof by yourself, you have to open it up then shut it. You cannot go from vent -> close and then adjust it, will not work correctly.

X2. That is how I adjusted mine, it is all the way down, but it still sticks up some and leaks air once in a while at higher speeds.
