Supercharged LNF
Supercharged LNF
Now I was wondering what the LNF would be like supercharged. What kind of numbers would be seen with the addition of direct injection that the LNF provides? Just wondering if anyone knows.
Yeah that was what I was thinking. The LSJ has had a turbocharged twin that people over look. The saab 9-3 2.0T is the same LSJ engine but Turbocharged and has 210 hp at 12.3 psi. Man I am hella curious now to see a supercharged LNF.
it would put off identical numbers. With the heat that the supercharger gives off, the lnf would be forced to run richer (in stock form) in order to help cool the charge down a bit. I could maybe see a slight gain up top from the VVT. But that's about it.
Supercharger Kit
If there is a supercharge kit made I will buy the turbo just to convert it!!! But who knows??? If anyone does this I would expect them to use a TVS or twin screw.
It would gain a little bit. The new 3.6 v6 that is in the new buick enclave is di and it makes 290hp but the 3.6v6 in the G6 gxp is port fuel injection and makes 260hp and it is the same engine just different fuel injection.
Supercharge
I know turbo has the modding edge but the cobalt being supercharged is unique now it's apart of the many turbo cars out there. a new engine with direct injection and vvt with the same supercharger would of been unique and a launch control system can make some great launches with all the low end torque. Say if it made 250 hp stage two could be used still and hp could possibly be at 285-300. This would be bad ass and for around the same price. I love superchargers.
Launch control on a SC'ed LNF would be more useless than it is on a stock TC. You spin and spin on stock tires. It's not really "unique" either since the cobras have been supercharged since 2003. If you're talking about 4 bangers with SC then you can see why everyone else is turbo.

but its also a downgrade....and no one would want to...less HP, less tq...more lag...
Wrong buddy.
LSJ has 9.5:1
LNF has 9.2:1
