Just out of curiosity, will this intercooler fit on the supercharged Cobalts as well if they are turbo converted or is there some spacial differences between the two? You might be able to score more sales for those wanting to convert to turbos.

So, what exactly would we get for $850? How difficult would you rate the install? What would we have to swap over?

Sounds like we get the intercooler with all the charge pipes, couplers, and clamps. Install should not be that involved. Remove the front bumper, all the charge pipes and unbolt the intercooler. Probably will take the average person two hours or so.

Probably... the charge piping won't, but the I/C should fit fine...

Here is a link to show you what your getting.

http://www.synapseturbo.com/mm5/merc..._Code=features

The install I would expect to take 2-3 hours at home, all you need to swap over is the lower temp sensor and pressure hose. The intercooler bolts to the factory mounting points on the bumper support and very minimal amount of triming is needed to the inner lower bumper skeleton.

This will show more gains.......and also, all the intakes I've seen so far do nothing performance wise except make the turbo louder. Personally, I'd rather not waste my money on something that just makes my car louder. If it's louder + performance, then YEEEES!

Ordered mine today!
I will be heading up to have them install it for me, and may throw it on the dyno to see what the ppc/cooler/piping can do.

Well, i dunno bout anyone else, but in my personal experience i've noticed more torque and more hp with a full CAI that runs down the fender towards the ground. I've done countless tests going SRI to CAI and back to SRI and back to CAI just to prove to myself there is more top end with a CAI and more torque than the SRI........i'd have to assume this would apply to the LNF, but, i'm no expert, i just go with wat my butt dyno tells me

As for making the turbo louder, why not? Then you won't get ppl thinking your the LSJ

Very nice guys. Quality work as usual.

+1 for a great shop and a great group of people.

and +5 Chris88Z24 points for that as well. (Similar to JClark points if you follow that on shift... )

According to the reports on the CAI out so far for the LNF, none of them have showed gains.

synapse intercooler
and hopefully some1 makes a nice set of coilovers
Your seriously a bastard... I am going to have my wheels powder coated black chrome, have my brembos powdercoated yellow, but i am gonna buy a set of rear brembos from an evo and throw those on the back. I will probably get the synapse intercooler eventually but i think my next purchase will be HP Tuners and i probably wont outgrow for another year or two. And then after that most likely alcohol injection
