I'm not positive, but I think they are done in 2010 and the Cruze debuts in 2011. Something like that, but who knows when GM will actually do it.

yeah... $500 a month is alot. Especially for 8 years. I'm starting to think keeping my sc isn't such a bad idea. It'll be paid for in 2 more yrs.

We've been hearing conflicting info about the Cruze. At one time they did say 2010, then the rumor was they would make the SS/TC in 2010 as the performance model and release the Cruze as the base model. Lately we've been hearing rumors of 2011 Cruse release. I don't think GM knows for sure what it's doing yet.

I can't believe that people like you exist for dealers to pull this **** on. Your wife is pregnant and you are playing financial suicide for a car that is by your own terms marginally better but pretty much the same car. You need to work on responsibility payments to yourself, not a new car. I now see why the world is drowning in such a huge credit mess.

You would almost be paying 50k for that car, for 8 years at the interest rate you have. I would suggest keeping your SC and trying to get it refinanced and save a little cash. If you have been paying on it for 1-3 years with out to many late payments you can most likely get a better rate and pay it off at the same time or sooner and have cheaper payments. This goes to any one, if you have a high interest auto loan make your payments on time and at the end of that year go and get it refinanced, you will be happy with the drop.

That is why I believe....Like I said $500mth is nuts for a car...I would keep your SC which with the stage 2 is still a fast daily driver . Pay it off in two yrs and you have all that cash too yourself too upgrade the car like go TVS or something mabe Turbo. And have no car payments...just think in 4 mths you could have a TVS after the car is paid be making 300whp which is lots for a small car + after you have all that extra money too buy your son/daughter stuff or pay off more on your new house???? I have a 05 SS/SC and I was looking at buying the new TC myself but I already have all the mods and HP Tuned and the car is plenty fast + once its paid off I am buying the TVS or something and will own the car with no payments...I will have mine paid in 2 yrs as well...The desision is easy!! Keep the SC....

Yeah.... I agree. I think after 2yrs and my car is paid off im going to like having that extra $500 a month to myself. Plus my big screen will be paid for at the same time also. Thats an extra $50 a month also. Ummmm.... What i could do with that extra money ! It would just be too much in the payments to make it a 5 year loan. The payments would be almost $650ish+ a month. Thats way too much. And its because i am upside down on my current loan as is. But i am able to make it. I have never had a late payment yet in the whole loan sense i got the car. Or on any bill for that matter EVER. My credit is impecable.

But all and all i think i'll call them tommorow and tell them " AH NO " .

They were crazy pushy too. My wife was sick as hell from being pregnant. Morning sickness and all and they kept on pushing for me to stay and seal the deal. They wanted me to drive home with it on Saturday. My wife was kinda upset with that part.

Also , not that it matters at all ( and off topic ) I updated my sig with my latest mods i did almost 3 months ago.

I paid 22 800 for my 09 TC fully loaded except hi rise. I also walked out the door with 1000$ cheque for snow rims and tires, but the car in under a blanket right now.

I paid less for my TC than my SC. My loan is for 5 years too.

One thing to note on the 8 year loan. It's an OPEN LOAN. Meaning you pay a minumum of 500 (or whatever) per month. At least with my 5 year terms its open after 3 months and I can pay it off as fast as I can. I also got back under a warranty.
So some people in these economic times may want to keep a longer loan just in case you need to drop you're payments a few months.

You will only pay 40 000+ if you make the min payment, and a 500 a month car payment is not that much to some people. I pay about 380.

The LSJ with have 6 years of boost on it by then, so you should look to overhaul it at that time :P

I think some of that depends on how someone treats there car. My car has had a good life so far. No real abuse and it has low milage. If i have to rebuild it by 45,000 miles. Then i don't know if i would even keep it at that piont. Cause thats all the miles i see being on it at that piont in two more years.

It is and isn't like a lease. You do have a buyout at the end of your 60 month term but you cannot just give the car back you either have to buy the remaining balance out (Whatever the money is that is left between the 60 and 84 months. So if you have $10000 as you balance at the end of 60 months you either have to pay that much and the car is yours. Finance out the $10000 on a new term. Or Trade the car in and hope it is worth that much on trade in. Its up to you man but that will keep you payment down and then you have some choices in 5 years!

Do the deal, make sure you get GAP insurance as well and total the car within the first 2 months.... the GAP will cover the rest of the money owed on the car loan and you will walk away without having to pay anything.... then go out and buy another 09 ss/tc without having any negative equaity rolled into the car

It was more of a joke I suppose. If you also think about it, its not really a scam since you are not cheating anyone out of anything; hence the gap insurance
