is there any sort of tune that will help over the gms1 tune?
The only original reason to get GMS1 and then tune over it was to be able to reliably make more than 22.5psi. Trifecta's Infiniboost tweak changed the rules to where it was no longer needed.
So where does this leave us?
HPT: It will still be helpful to have the sensors. It is possible to buy the sensors and wiring and install them yourself if you already have the sensors or don't want to buy the whole kit and pay for labor.
Trifecta: It's a wash. It's nice if you have it, but not needed.

Why would you push the little turbo over that?
Have any links to the used HPT setups?
Im saying why do you need 2 VCM's
I have only 1. The only condition is you need to have either A. A local HP Tuner, or B. Your own HPT device. For some people this is a problem, but if you want a badass tune and still be able to get your car serviced, you have to pay to play. Used HPT's w/credits left sell for 3-350 and a tune via email is cheaper then $200. Costs less then what I paid to tune my own car lol!

Be careful they might not understand how different the GDI turbo engine reacts to A/F and timing.

I myselkf now have the GMS1/Trifecta dual tune. I recently switched over from a pretty good HPT tune. the reason? It really appealed to me to be able to putput around town in the GMS1 tune knowing it wasnt being so hard on the engine. Then, when I need it, I can swith over to my stronger tune. I like the idea of my engine not being driven 24/7 in a high powered tune.
Listen to Term2. If you go to that shop make sure they really know what they are doing with the LNF as far as timing and AFR goes.

No argument here. Its all in the driving. But it depends on the tune too. My old HPT tune had some tq management going on for the track and launches which was great, but it kinda suked having to drive around in it all the time. You cant argue against the fact that being able to switch from tune to tune is a great option. For me, I just love the way the car drives stock. Then, I hit a switch and Ive got gobbs of power at my disposal.
Theres always going to be arguments for both sides. It comes down to a matter of preferance.

Anyways, were going a little off topic now. I guess the OP has enough info to make an informed decision based on his needs and wants.
