My forge started to stick. The piston was ever so slightly getting a catch to it when it was shut. It would cause the compressor to surge. I've had 0 issue with the factory one. I took care of it and never ran it dry.

did u ever relube it? ur supposed to relube it once a year. I had sticking issues with the lube they give with, so I tried something else.

I just picked up a new BW EFR unit for 51 bucks. Hopefully that fixes my problem. Thanks guys.
