Traction control problem??

So i was driving home tonight in the snow, I always have my traction control OFF when the roads are snow covered/slick because I hate having it kick in at every stop light. Anyways, while I was driving, the car turned the traction control back on and I was not able to turn it back off. I turned into my driveway, shut the car off for about a minute, Started it, magically, I was able to turn traction ON and OFF without a problem...Anyone have this happen to them? If so please post...

Did you actually hold it down for 15 seconds, or did you just disable ESC?

If the car's abs activates under a preset brake pressure it turns traction control back on.

I know, but when the car kicked it back on, I was not able to turn it off again until i shut the car off, and started it again.

Only time I turn it off in winter is when I need to power through snow, like when we got a big drop of snow on a weekend and I had an entire neighbourhood of fresh untouched powder to go through at 5:30 in the morning. Mine never bogs down unless I give it a noticeable amount of gas. Then again, I have dedicated snow tires that are brand new so that might be our difference.

/\ - this plus when the thermostat reads the temp is under 32* "Possible Ice" when driving, the traction control will automatically turn on or turn it back on when it's off. I've notice this in the last few weeks, especially days when it's in the high 30's during the day and at night it drops under 32..
