Treadstone Lower CP
Treadstone Lower CP
I also installed a Lower CP this weekend with MAF relocate. It had no vacuum hole so i had to reroute the vacuum lines. I found a post on here but didnt know if I did it correctly. Attached picture

I dont know if this is for sure how to route it, the car feels a bit sluggish but holds 24 psi with no issues and my BOV doesnt flutter as bad as before.
thanks!

yeah its a good piece. I paid 115 shipped from BNR racing for it. had to buy a MAF extension from ZZP and some couplers. total price was probably around 160 for everything i needed. it fit good. my only complaint is there was no vacuum port and no instruction on how to bypass the tank from Treadstone. I know there is a how to on here but it would of been nice to have simple instructions.
Cause the bpv sounds way more and at every little twitch of ur foot. The line that goes from charge pipe to bpv solinoid is only supposed to see boost, not boost and vac like it does when u connect it straight to mani. I'm sure doing it that way wrecked my vac tank check valve so I removed it, got lots of flutter till I welded in a thing on my lower cp to make it like it should be, that fixed it. And no more bpv going off every time I twitched lol. It got annoyong

Ya could also be ur vac tank being bad at the same time, good way to check if its bad check valve in the tank, drive about 30 mph or so in 4th or 5 th, then boost it to about 10-15 psi, if ur check valve is bad in the vac tank ur bpv will start opening and closing quickly not letting u boost past a certain psi. That's what mine did, so I took tank off and bought a new check valve for that line that goes from vac tank to bpv solinoid so that that line only allows vac to the solinoid and not boost. Top is only boost, bottom only vac, fixed all my issues. Bpv sounds awesome cause u new here turbo down spool. If u don't do it that way u will get alot of flutter. Plus I had to put stock bpv spring back in to eliminate flutter
If its opening during throttle ur vac tank check valve is toast bypass it. Hook bpv straight to the intake mani and see if it still opens during throttle, it will flutter, but it will let u know if u got a bad vac tank in a hurry
ok. I threw a p2178 last night and its running like complete **** now. You want me to plug the bpv vacuum line directly into the intake mani, bypassing the solenoid right?
Yes just to see if it fixes ur bpv issue. What code is that , I'm on my phobe

That is the only way I could think of bypassing it
Or u could unplug everything from intake mani and plug in just bpv, all that other stuff is vac tank crap so doesn't need to be plugged in to test, solinoid doesn't need to be plugged in to test either, but the way u got it should still work. If ur vac tank is bad, ill tell u how to properly hook up the solinoid so it does what it's designed to do and works properly.

Then ur vac tank is probably bad. So if u wanna do it right, weld in or tap a fitting on ur lower cp, run a line from there to solinoid , the port pointing back toward the windshield, leave the one pointing to front of the car hooked up to intake mani, just put a check valve in there so it only sees vac and no boost. And leave the bpv one hooked up to bpv, that should solve ur problem.
