Trifecta Activation button
How do you guys have your trifecta tune button set up?
Is it bad to have trifecta as my daily driver and switch to GMS1 for snow?
I just emailed Vince and asked him about my tune activation button.
I thought (and requested) a set up where my daily driving would be cruise control off = GMS1 parameters (without sensors) and when I turn on the cruise button (button depressed and lit) trifecta tune is active.
But I thought I read somewhere that people do it the opposite and prefer it that way. I thought I read (cant seem to find the thread) where someone preferred the power but when it snows they would go to stock tune so they could navigate okay. Well Vince must have made a mistake because that's what I have, the opposite of what I originally wanted. When I've been datalogging I've been doing it with cruise on, and we've yet to get completely dialed in. Seems like Colorado is hard to tune for. But when I did a datalog I forgot to put the cruise button on and my car felt sooo much faster.
I played around with it and noticed my car pulls way harder without turning on cruise.
So I have come to the assumption that cruise is on it's my daily driving tune and cruise off it's trifecta. The problem is since it's GMS1 I get 20 psi but it spikes and with Trifecta I get 23psi and it spike so it was hard for me to see the boost difference at first. But after playing around I noticed that my boost is higher where I thought it was lower.
So that's my story.

Mike u should just use your comp mode for the tune and when its off it will be ur gms1 tune...and ya colorado is hard cause the weather is sooo cold and the gas is the winter blend **** so it doesn't freeze that's why my tune got jacked up...we tuned it in colorado where it was soo cold and crappy gas and I got here were its not so cold and normal gas...vince will fix it don't worry he will hook u up bro
I have mine setup so that when the cruise is on, I am on the stock tune. Cruise off is Trifecta.
The other option you have is to use the traction control button as your switch. That just seems silly though.
I DD my car with the tune turned on. When you're not in boost you're basically running on the stock parametres anyways, so no harm done.

Ya my tune is on all the time and I dd mine also...runs fine and works fine I was getting 37.6mpg on the highway driving to seattle going 85mph with cruise set...tune on...good **** got like 411 miles to that tank

cool so if I've been datalogging GMS1 what happens to the trifecta tune? Is it effected or no?
I didn't realize that cruise on is GMS1 so I've been using that to datalog.

I would think cruise on being your moderate DD tune would make sense, so you could actually take advantage of having cruise lol.
if your doing a pull, you probably aren't cruising haha.

sorry for the minor thread jack, but is the trifecta able to be setup to be active when you turn ESC off? I have heard all the other ways but this is the one I would prefer if and when I purchase my tune, and haven't ever heard any input. sorry again, and thanks lol
Ya, you can set it up that way. But I don't see why you would want it to only work with ESC off. If you activate it with the cruise button, you can still use all your traction control options with it.
Hey have a question about the Trifecta tune. Has anyone done emissions yet? it still passes with the bolt ons and stuff right? Im sorta scared about this. Do you think the tune will be good enough to go to the emission test? I dont have to go since I have a 2009 but sorta being proactive.

I spoke with Vince and he definitely says I was datalogging my GMS1 parameters
So I have to start over. What's good is my GMS1 is no longer quite GMS1 it's 20psi of very well tuned goodness.
So I sent my first 3 datalogs today. His response time has been 24 hours so he'll get to me early morning wednesday since I sent it after hours today.
