I'm not adverse to upgrading the clutch, but don't want to spend that much money right now. Have you seen any clutch slippage?
The only clutch slipping there is, is when you go up hill lets say in like 4th or 5th and floor it same can be said for going down the road at 35mph in 5th and floor it, then the clutch will slip but any other times no slipping at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is very true and anybody who knows how to drive a 5spd right should know better than this anways. I have had 8 passes on my trifecta tune and stock clutch....I ran a 13.9 at 104 at a elevation of 2000 ft...which is impressive considering my 60' was a 2.390 I need driver mod haha. Stock the car ran a best of a 14.7 at 97 again high elevation..so you can see that with just this tune I gained 7 MPH and 8 tenths in the quater mile...for $250 you cannot beat this. Trifecta FTMFW.

Dang , nothing near me.... in TN ... looks like there is an opening in the SouthEast for someone that is bad ass, I happen to have a great resume' in that field of awesomeness. Will call Vince to see what I can learn and promote.

Does the Trifecta Tune raise the Redline to ~7,000?

No, unless you ask Vince at Trifecta to raise it. Otherwise, it is 6300 like stock.

id like to know if they can limit torque to 50% in first gear like stock and stock redline, so i can at least get through the intersection without silly spinning

There are no changes to the torque management it is 50% in 1st and 67% in 2nd. I have 100% torque in all gears now and I love it. Best torque management is your right foot. You just have to relearn how to drive it is all. It took me a few weeks of driving it to get used launching it with the new power.

Weird I thought It was stock unless you requested a raised rev limit.

I didn't request a raised rev limiter either but I've rev'd to 6500-6600RPM after the tune (I don't need to go any higher than that, it could be at 7K but I haven't and probably won't try). Vince also told me he adjusted the torque management in 1st and 2nd gear and I didn't specifically request it, I just asked if they did and he said adjustments are made in 1st and 2nd to help better manage the power the car puts down now. Could mean he applied MORE torque management or it could mean less but it's not what it was at stock.

I think he's pretty open if you specifically request something but I didn't specifically request anything and I know those two things were modified over stock...I don't think he'd have any reason to lie to me about it, I had already purchased the tune, haha.

oh and ps dan.. vince sent me a tune for a definite 7K rev limiter if you want me to flash that at some point after you get used to things lol

Are any of you guys doing NLS with the trifecta tune? I just got it a few days ago and wow it's amazing, i have yet to have any clutch slippage and i dont know if i want to put that extra strain on the clutch. I love this car with this tune.

I never do it from 1st to 2nd but i do it all the time from 2nd to 3rd and man it moves, but no problems with NLS between those gears

he did the same to my car, when we were developing the tune i wanted to be able to use 1st gear so what he did was change the way the turbo pressure is applied based off rpms not just all go and he limited 1st gear to 10psi trust me this is a much better option

I've only done it two or three times since the tune, the 1-2 is pointless, the 2-3 seems like it's harder to time now so the 3-4 shift is really the only one I still use it on. There is a 4 mile long, straight, flat and empty desert road about 30 miles outside of town in the middle of nowhere that I go to every once in a while to measure 1/4 mile times, est. WHP, etc with the Dynolicious app on my iTouch and that's the only place I've tried it...even by the end of 2nd gear the car is going way to damn fast for public roads and I'm not a fan of street racing.

I definitely wouldn't be doing it all the time with our stock clutches though, even on the track or road in the middle of nowhere, think that's just asking for a new clutch sooner rather than later. I could be wrong but I know Vince shares the same opinion.

Vince doesn't send you the app he uses to edit and create the tunes, it's just this little custom made Visual Studio windows.forms (for anyone who's familiar with C#) application that interfaces with the OBD2 port. The logs are also done thru this app but you can't open them with the software he sends you, they have to go back to him to be viewed.
