Nice talking with you tonight Myrt. I'm sure we'll get you taken care of just fine!

To clarify, to date, I am the only Trifecta dealer in NH. I have partnered with Mkulrey of buyhids.com to offer the service to a wider audience and to add another facet to his business.

I use his HIDs and custom headlights on my car, and he's got a trifecta tune from me on his. 99.9% of my mods have been done at his place. It's a good "scratch my back, I'll scratch yours" relationship.

its personal preference really they both kinda do the same things just in different ways. I dont use trifecta so i cant tell you for sure, but hptuners is completely custom to the car and i charge $250 for a full custom tune.

It is somewhat personal preference.

Good tuners who use HPTuners can provide a solid tune. That tune however will be limited by the numbers of tables available in the hptuners software, as well as the skill and experience of the tuner. To my knowledge, hp doesn't allow for selectable tune or for stealth tune, but feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

One of the many benefits of Trifecta is that all tuning is done by Vince, who has tuned more cobalts than most hptuners users combined. While there are some excellent tuners out there using HPTuners, they would be hard pressed to compare thier experience to Trifecta.

Nick is one of the excellent tuners I was talking about... But if your statement were true, why would Nick need to add the Trifecta aspect to his tuning?

To get the extra tables that you were talking about that HPT hasn't come out with yet.

He combines both of them together so that the customer can get a very very good and reliable tune

I wish HPT would come out with those diff. tables though

Uhhhh, the problem with your logic is that Trifecta has everything that is available with HPTuners, plus the extra tables. Trifecta currently is wihout a doubt the best platform to start with. The difference comes with the tuner, the person who is actually creating the tune. As I said, BYT is excellent, and in my opinion is probably one of the top 3 tuners using any platform, but I still put Vince at #1, and he's already on the better platform.

Either way is your choice. I think hptuners is a better choice if the person wants to do it themselves or be more hands on, but trifecta takes out that trial and error aspect.

That's what I was saying "He's using Trifecta because of the extra tables" and the hide away tune which I dont see

why Trifecta has that, any dealer can check into anything, they have the power so hide away = fail in my book

I'm going with HPT just my choice, but I was talking to SMG and they said Trifecta just builds high boost and then falls.

So that pretty much made up my decision

But I know some people with Trifecta and they say they love it so we all have diff taste in what we want.

But I'm glad to see my buddy acually going ahead and getting a tune, and it's even better cause your close to him. me too also

So nobody has to travel that far which is a good thing

When was he suppose to get his car tuned by you, just curious because were seeing who's gonna get there's first lol

If all goes as planned we'll be installing a tune on Myrt's car by 6pm tomorrow....

Mkulrey used to run a HPtuner SMG tune, he and I dyno'd on the same day. I had 289whp, Mike had 290whp, and our a/f ratio's were similar.

In the hands of the right people, a good tune can come on any software platform.

I should also note that Mkulrey's tune took 2 or 3 trips to Hopedale, MA, several hours, and I believe $400+.... Mine took 30 minutes in my parking lot and was $100 less. He and I also ran a charity top speed run in the rain, tune vs tune and ran the exact same top speed.

I have made the offer several times, my car is fully insured. If anyone (supercharged guy) wants to drive a trifecta car for themselves to feel the tune, let me know and take come take my car for a drive!

I would love to but tonight I have a game so I cant, so I'll just have to wait untill he gets back to c-town with his tune from you.

I'm sure it will pull very good and anything is an improvment over stock so I cant wait to see tonight

Well have to setup a race between Semir w/ the 09 black gti (you might know him) with unitronic chip, intake and tbe

The (BOSNIAN) ^ or however you spell it, he lives in manch too

I'm sure that will be a very good race

Myrt,

I'm sorry we couldn't get together on the tune tonight. By the time I got your VIN and sent it off to Vince he was already out tuning other customers. I should have your tune file at some point tonight so I'll be happy to come up to you in Concord tomorrow to get you taken care off!

Myrt,

THANKS FOR THE BUSINESS!!! It has been great getting to know you, as I enjoy meeting more of the cobalt community. I also look forward to helping your dad with his truck in the future!

Kyle,

Thank you as well for your business! I know you have been skeptical of Trifecta but I know without a doubt you'll be happy with the final flash of your tune. As we said, MAF relocation takes a few logs to get dialed in properly!

Anyone else,

If you are on the fence about Trifecta, come ride in/drive, my car, and make the decision for yourself!
