trifecta tuned ???

ok so i have my car tuned with the trifecta stage 2. mods are : tune, 3'' exhaust with no muffler, 3''catless dp, dejon SRI, and dejon BPV. So when im going through gears at WOT my boost spikes at like 25psi then falls to about 22psi. but if im cruising in 4th and downshift to 3rd then go to WOT it spikes at about 29-30 psi and falls down to about 22psi by the time i shift. Does anyone see a major problem here? im kinda iffy about the boost. but it mostly only spikes 30 psi if im at a low rpm in 3rd then go WOT.. any ideas guys??

Put your stock airbox back on and see what happens. Normally the spikes are caused by really rich A/F mixture when you have an intake and your STFTs and LTFTs are not in check.

Actually most of Vince's tunes do not add that much timing. I dunno why he runs that rich of an A/F on these cars.

I noticed my boost spiking as well, but only to about 25 on a WOT pull. I have been monitoring my A/F ratio's as well and they seem to be holding in in the 13's and 14's. Which I think is pretty good...but I could be wrong.

i have no idea what my AFR's are. i was thinking about hooking my friends superchips to the car and see if it will let me read my AFR's that way.

my trifecta tune stays dead on at 24 psi

vince has me at 6 degrees of advance over stock, and no knock at all

runs like a rape ape, leaps and bounds over my ppc tuner

id have to say a safty issue.

if you start running leaning you have the risk of running very lean and causing knock..could ultimatly damage a clients car.

As for this..ether your map sensor is pooped.

or your running infiniboost.

mine does the same thing...it could be your intake also.

These cars rich knock a lot more than most realize. I know because the person who tuned my car originally was running rich and on the street when I logged it for the first time it was pulling 8-10* of timing whan only 8-12* of advance was commanded.

I am not sure Vince is running them as rich now as the last dyno I saw had the A/F in the 13s and 12s with the richest being 12.4. IMHO the best and safest A/F is 12.6 to 12.8 in this car.

Not if the trigger for the tune is comp mode. Should be ESC off IMHO.

You have to dyno in ESC off. Just dynoed the other week and it will hit that launch control rev limit at 5000. The tune should be there in esc off as well try it sometime.

Launch control is going to engage because the rear tires are not spinning. Maybe you can pull the fuse for the ESC. I am not sure if you are going to be able to dyno that way.

Right just hold the traction button for 10 sec and it will shut everything off.

Then it probably doesnt matter if you have esc off or not just as long as you have the cruise control on.
