is it true these are the only mods worth doing?
bah-ha-ha
you gave me my morning snicker.... (I'm at work, so I gotta stay more or less quiet)...
man, I know why you would think you're old in this group (since most seem to be 25 or younger), but 40 isn't old...
imho, you've got twenty more years before you can call yourself old...
for the record, you have less than ten years on me...

Monroe county doesnt have an emission test/check [smell or visual] so you'll pass that test..
This goes to anyone who whats to avoid a $1195 ticket:
if anyone does get a catless/ no muffler setup - check with your state/county emission laws first before purchasing exhaust products, you may get a ticket.. it may be an "State EPA" ticket which could cost a boat load to pay, my brother's ticket was $1195 w/state court feees.. he had a catless DP full 3'' w/ no muffler.. just to think about..
it gets really bad if you cross over state lines, fines could be higher or worst your ride taken or towed awayed..
iirc I've heard about a 13.5, but I seem to recall that even that car was tuned...
are you running at ideal conditions with DA below sea level or something?
you have to at least be tuned for a 13.3...
tires??
I think I read of a 13.7 legitimately bone stock...
I'm not calling BS, but there are many here who post up scoffing at others times becasue what they are able to pull - only to find out that more often than not, they're withholding something...
That's a stellar time, which happens to be a full second on me (then again I'm at 3300 feet, and pulled my 14.3 witha DA of roughly 5k feet);
I believe I have bested any local C-SS's, or C-SRT4's by at least 1/10...
oh come on...

See, I'm even skeptical of that;
I'd suspect they were doing the old sand-baggin, and either had drag radials, or a tune, or both...
2/10ths on that stellar road test e/t, ok, I could see it, but a half a second faster!?
I have observed as far ar quarter mile racing goes, mst BS, and this seems to be even more common with the FWD crowd...
For example:
The last time I raced a guy who swore he ran 14's, he we running high 16's...
I had one guy in a N-SRT4 which obviously had power adders (ect) - and this guy had the audacity to tell me he was running aprox 200hp... (to bad I knew bone stock they were rated higher than that)
Only arearly have I met FWD guys at the track who were completely honest...

all I'm getting at is that there's a huge difference between the inarguable 13.9 and 13.3...
seriously, would you ever run w/o being tuned?
considering your rep as a tuner, I would think that would be pretty much beneath you.

Hmm... No mention of the simplest & best, 30 HP LNF mod.
But, only if you have a DP & K&N filter, & of course, tuned for it.
Not available everywhere, but if you can get it, use it.
E47.5 A 50/50 mix of E85 & premium E10
Ethanol with any Forced Induction engine = nice, cheap, HP.
Visit the Buick Grand National forums, 50+ HP gain with just E85
I like this thread... Keep it simple...
The best "bang-for-the-buck", for any LNf car to go 12's at over 110 in the 1/4 mile,
& be such a perfect, powerful Daily-Driver, is so easy....
Two mechanical parts, DP/Filter , for lets say $200
Tanking up with a 50/50 mix, just 2 credit card swipes, unless you have a 'blending' pump.
A tune for the above 2 parts & the 50/50 mix, lets say $300
The smile it puts on your face, priceless.
Any stock LNF car, + $500, in quick/easy/basic mods, & call it a day.

Yea if you can find Ethanol somewhere. Here in southern cal its hard to find. At the station near my house its actually more expensive than premium octane 91 which is dumb. Once the E gets more available and comes down in price I'll get a tune for some.
I feel ya there. The closest to my house is like 80 miles right now. Im dying to try this **** out myself lol...
