Tuned by BYT*SS*TURBO, Holy shit, Holy shit!!!
So i got my Hahn Intercooler put on yesterday and it completed my full bolt on mods. I went up to BYT**SS**TURBO to get another tune and all i can say is holy shit!!!. He was able to tune the Hahn Intake to 0.8 and im running 18* of timing and 21-23lbs of boost. IT FEELS LIKE A NEW CAR!!! I had another tune before this, but went to stock for about 2 months, now i dont wanna stop driving. He is very good with tuning turbos and has his own website and 3 project cars that are pretty sweet looking. I highly recommend anyone in, PA, NY, NJ, DE, MD go to Nick for your tune. We spent a good 40 mins driving around and logging information. Here is a pic of my logs. (wait for upload please)
edit: http://www.backyardturbo.com/nick/frank.jpg - - here is the link to the LOG as well, might have to click the log screen once to zoom in a minor amount so its not choppy https://www.cobaltss.net/gallery/fil.../5/7/frank.jpg |
god i wish i didnt have to buy tires so i could go get tuned !
|
whp? ish? lol
|
when i was previously tuned by another guy it was a dyno tune (FTL! btw) and i put down 290hp and 315 ft lbs without Catless DP, Intercooler or exhuast. now id say probably 315-320hp and 345-350 ft lbs!!! Were going to get a dyno day together so im gunna see then
|
Told you Matt sucks balls at tuning.
|
you sir are correct lol. Dan u gotta ride in this thing now haha
|
You know if he tunes LSJ's too?
|
no i dont, im sure he can. His friend has a Bmw 3 series with some loud blower on it lol. I dont know if he tuned it or not but he does have a suburu drag car and a mazda with a sweet motor swap that he tunes. Ill ask him and see what he says about it
|
Wheres this guy at?
Just in case my personal LSJ tuning skills end up not being up to snuff. |
Maven, he is in East stroudsburg, PA. took me about 1hr 15mins from my house. 2nd exit off route 80 after going over the deleware bridge, so about 3 hrs tops for you, taking 76 to 276
I just asked, he hasnt tuned LSJs but he says it shouldnt be a problem at all with HPT, however LSJ guys need to have a wideband |
Not too shabby.

Whats off? Youre saying the log/pcm is off? Isnt it more likely that your gauge is inaccurate? The PCM can make the gauge say whatever it wants....

Kpa is an absolute value, the psi your gauge shows isnt. Kpa is showing total pressure in the system, boost psi is just that, the amount of extra pressure there is in addition to atmospheric pressure.........atmospheric pressure is ~14.7psi. So you need to subtract 14.7 from your 31.9 you get when doing a Kpa to psi conversion ;) |
The VE airflow is a little low.... and 220kpa is very low.
Timing looks good but there is room to grow with that as well..... MAVEN you need to shut it |

ohhhh, okay then, wasnt aware of it. he has only tuned 3 LNF motors and stated he hasnt fully been able to harness all its power. also said that Terminator2 has helped him with a few Q&A but he does know his shit!!! Just a matter of time till he figures it out 100% instead of 95%
**disclaimer** I'm not claiming to be a tuner by any means, so don't jump down my throat here.. lol.. HPTuner guys will even tell you how frustrating these cars can be |
This is very true....
HPTuners has given us enough to be dangerous... but can't control it well! Term is great... Area is AWESOME.... and even using a combo of tunes from all three of us we just get as GOOD as we can! |

if i went back to him 200 times i doubt he would care thats how cool this cat is lol
|
Hmm.. East Stroudsburg is only like an hour away from me. I think I'm going to need to head out there once I get my exhaust and downpipe.
