Tuned guys chime in

Hey I have a quick question, I'm looking into getting a hp tune soon on 91oct, how much power could be gained with a catless DP? And how much would be gained with stock DP and 3" exhaust? Thanks

Catback won't do much at all on a stock turbo. With a Catless vs stock DP...you can guestimate maybe 10 whp. A lot of it has to do with the cat overheat protection not being necessary so you can keep it leaner longer

More than 10 hp I think with the right tune, the stock cats are very restrictive, maybe 20 or so but the catback stock exhaust system is fine.

catless dp will give u big gains on a tune. you wont notice anything until you're tuned tho plus it makes the car sound so much better

I have the 3" MPX as well as the cat-less down-pipe. 290Hp and 340tq. without tune was low 240hp and tq. both at the wheels. 93 octane.

Ok so basically exhaust is worthless for power just for sound? Catless DP is good for powa!

I'm just trying to think if I want the loudness of the catback with DP but if catback is not needed much might just put stock exhaust back on? What do you guys think

Really? I think I saw maybe 12whp or so. I could be wrong...I'll try to find my dyno sheets...although I don't think I went any more aggressive with timing...just leaner IIRC. I haven't looked at my old HPT files in a while. Either way...Catless DP is good stuff

Probably, I'm used to it though. It's really only loud on cold starts and when it's wide open.

power gain.. not much, but your turbo will spool faster as there is less restriction compared to stocker. You will get a tingy sound on WOT which i hated, why i went with a Borla-XR1 muffler. Sound waaaay better

It depends on where you live, and it's a pretty significant power gain I feel, best thing you can do for the car besides a tune.
