What are you doing in this section then if you dont want to tamper with your warranty, the general chit chat section is above.

Unless your dealer is a real dick, they aren't gonna turn you down for modding. Vehicle sales are to poor right now to be pissing someone off. I have meth injection, 2.8 pulley, CAI, 60# inj and hp tune and they still fix my stuff. Just go ask them straight up if they care.

yea i've thought about the whole get another ECU but overall i just can't get it out of my head that changing the tune back and fourth back and fourth over and over......it just can't be good for the engine and the supporting components. I'm holding out for a GM stage tune or else I'll look into talking to the service manager about having and HP Tune on my ss/tc.

why dont you just get hp tuners. when you need to take it in to the dealer you can just load the stock program it doesnt take long to reload the programs back and fourth.

Sorry bro but thats the deal, read the warranty booklet and you'll see. Even racing that gm basically wants you to do can void your warranty.
"Did you go full throttle sir"
"Yes i did, it was a blast... then the engine exploded, please fix it"
"Sorry sir but the warranty booklet specifically says you're not allowed to do that, warranty denied"

I agree ... I am in the same situation as you I have an 09 and want to tune it but I am still in the "do I want to risk the warranty boat" Factor.

My salesman drove it after i did and he did so without me being in the car, beyond that a had a tire issue and the lube tech who drove it into the bay redlined it down the lot in 1st gear without asking.

theres been rumors of gm releasing a stage 2 for the solstice/sky cars(this would include a reflash, and retain your warranty) .... i would look into their forums for the latest news. other options include buying a 2nd ecu, having it HPtuned and keeping the unmolested stock ecu "JUST INCASE"

^ because gm can tell if they decide to look through the lines of code.

i dono about the new balt ecu's, but with most if you unplug your battery, records will be cleared.... is there a flash device available for you guys? if so, you could just unplug the battery before you go back to the dealership for anything, then reload the tune after. If they say, "why was your battery unplugged?" say i thought that might be the problem or, mine died so i replaced it. they can't void warranties for that lol
