Tuning Question?

When I bought my car a while back it came with the Bsr ppc tuner and the car makes good power, now my question is will it be worth it to get trifecta/hp tuned? Will it make big enough difference to make it noticable/ worth it? If so trifecta or hpt? I've been looking at hpt

Thanks guys

A custom tune will always yield better results than a "canned" tune hands down, so yes there is still power to be made.

You would do well to get a custom tune. Whether or not you want Trifecta or HPT just depends on your goals and what you want to spend. I only recommend getting HPT if you plan on buying the HPT Suite. That'll be a $750 venture when you add in a tune from a reputable tuner, but then you can slowly learn to do your own tuning with the help of the HPT forum. You can also log, which is the whole reason I went this route.

If you just want some more power and only want to spend $300, then go with the Trifecta Stealth tune.

I'm recommending trifecta for an obvious reason and personal satisfaction with their work. If you want to spend a lot of money and mess with it yourself, get the HPT, there are a lot of reviews that will back up both choices so it's up to you to be honest. If you want your car tuned and tweaked to where you want it without a headache of messing with tables yourself, Trifecta is your answer.

If you have e85 in your area get hp tuners for sure, so you can run a e47 tune when you want to.

hptuners will make you more power and safer power. chevycobaltss3 is a real good tuner unfortunately i think he just got banned from this forum, but if you get serious about it he can tune you and he's cheap. if you are interested pm me and we'll work somethin out.

I'm looking for a tune but my problem is i'm in the DC area and i was hoping for a full on dyno tune because i hear they generally turn better numbers any suggestions? I'm open to either hp or trifecta. I've got badmab catless dp, treadstone tr8 dejon cai straight pipe exhaust and i'm waiting to install the dejon cp till i get the tune to avoid issues

Select-A-Tune, Infiniboost AND Hide-A-Tune all included for LNF. HPT doesn't offer that unless you do Trifecta with HPT overlay.

I have a hp tuner close by (terminator2) and i have heard good things about him, and a fair price with lifetime free re-tunes. I will not be buying the suite or tuning my self. I have just heard too many good things for both trifecta and hpt.

yeah I would like to make as much power as possible, safely of course. I haven't gotten any recommendations for a trifecta tuner yet? still stuck between the two.

there is only one tuner with TFT and it is Vince,

those who install TFT file are reflasher.

here my recommendation:
i did over 25 LNF reflash. it take from 15 minute to a hours to tune it.
you should active the tune via ESCOFF. it is harder to find for a dealer.
keep stock boost on first gear, but if you plan to drag with DR you could rise 15% your boost in 1.
intake KN is the best. hahn and injen are the worst.

it would be safe. Term is one of the best in the business, and mine is tuned to get every bit i can out of it , but its still safe because he makes sure all tables are good when you are driving around with him...its a good experience man, the 300 is worth it

Man I'm in the same boat. I'm looking for a tuner, good... but not too expensive. I do like the select-a-tune but would do without it. Trouble is I'm in Iowa. There's no one around that I know of.

I also have the PPC tuner (K&N Intake, ZZP catted downpipe, bored .020 over). On my interceptor gauges it seems to me that the PPC tune runs very lean. But I don't know that much about it. Even at WOT it's running 14.7-ish until maybe around 5K rpm when it finally goes to about 12.5. I don't know much but that doesn't seem right to me.

Stop using you intake as a snorkel then man!

Seriously though, I've had my Hahn intake on the car for over 2 years now with zero rust issues or tuning issues with maf turbulance. Same thing with a couple other local guys in my area. Maybe you just got a bum intake?
