Turbo Install question
Turbo Install question
Is it okay to loosen sum bolts on the turbo to "turn" the silver part (not the manifold side) so that the intercooler piping will fit it? I Dont want to have to rebalance my brand new turbo so I was jw if thats cool to do because my intercooler piping wont connect to the outlet unless I loosen the bolts. Please let me no cuz I need to install this turbo!!! Thnks
Thats good to hear. Do i just drip any kind of oil all over the turbo before I install it?
to lube it up so its not bone dry i mean like do i pour oil into the compressor wheel or just where the oil lines will be going??

easiest way to prime it is gonna be to disconnect the injector harness and crank it over in like 5 second intervals 3 times. that's what i did with my bullseye turbo and it worked fine.
no need car will lube it for you on start up. if its any turbo but an efr make sure the oil restrictor is instaled lol or you will be angry with yourself
ok well my old turbo had an external wastegate but no vaccuum lines (where the restrictor would go) connected from the turbo to the manual boost controller. Some people are saying I need these vaccuum lines but my old turbo didnt have them because there was a oil restirctor on it... Will that damage the turbo or engine if i dont connect the vaccuum lines to the wastegate and boost controller?
It's great to see everyone helping you out. I'd like to offer some advice. I apologize if this sounds rude but I would honestly suggest you obtain some professional help with the job you are trying to do. It's apparent from your questions that you might not be totally sure what you're doing. I'd hate to read next week on here that you broke another turbo.
Good luck. I know how annoying it can be to work on these types of things but it's best to have knowledgeable assistance.
