I bought 2 from ebay cuz they were so cheap(7.85 for both, S+H included) and I bought the other 2 from Amazon(19 after S+H). Sound about right as far as price range goes right?

I'm seeing the plugs for $5.70 with free shipping on Amazon....

And get your oil from Wal Mart. $25-30 for 5 quarts of full synthetic of your choice.

This! I was paying way too much until I found out about the 5 gal. jug. It's the exact amount we need and it costs less plus you're not wasting oil.

Yea that's what it says until you purchase it. LOL Amazon will only offer free shipping if you spend $25 or more. LOL I only needed two more so I got charged for S+H. That's still pretty cheap though. I'm sure if I didn't purchase it online it would've cost me twice as much. LOL Also, Walmart doesn't have the royal purple 5 quart jug. They have mobile 1 but I want to upgrade. LOL Speaking of which, is there an upgrade for our spark plugs too? Damn, should've looked into that first before I bought the other ones. LOL oh well, but the way I see it is if I'm going to change something, I might as well replace it with something better so it will last longer and perform better, hopefully. LOL I also don't mind paying a little more.

So does anyone know what the exact gap is supposed to be on the spark plugs?

Well I would recommend finding out, racing oil is not designed for standard 3-5k drain interval.

Our cars seem to hate anything over than stock, pretty sure gap for a tuned LNF is 0.30 (someone correct me if my memory is foggy)

Ok, well if that's the main issue then I should be fine because I'm not planning on changing my oil anytime soon. Just the spark plugs and hopefully that will be the end of that problem. The only thing to do now is wait until they arrive. Thanks for the help anyways.

Ok, Thanks! By the way, I was driving earlier and the CEL came on. I just checked it and you guys were right! Massive misfire! LOL Codes were p030 (twice, idk why), p0301, p0302, and p0304. The only cylinder that didn't misfire was cylinder 3. So I'm guessing those bad spark plugs must be causing this problem correct? I'm going to change all of them, even cylinder three's. How would I know if I gapped it correctly or not? Will the CEL come back on or something?

Ok guys, so I just changed my old spark plugs and they looked like ****! All burnt up! Anyways, when I pulled out the old ones, they were gapped differently. The first and fourth one were gapped at 0.30 but the second and third were gapped at like 0.27, 0.26ish. Anyways, I gapped all of the new ones at 0.30 so hopefully that will be good enough. I still haven't pushed it yet with the tune on but I"ll try it one of these days. So far it seems to be fine, with the stock ecu anyways. Also, I was wondering would if need a retune for the new zzp FMIC and the lower charge pipe? Thanks!

LOL gotta take good care of your car if you want it to be beast and take care of your reputation.
Id stay away from Royal Purple and stick with the Manufacturer Recommendation for oil. I believe the stock gap is 0.027. Im tuned and I stuck with the stock gap. No missfires.

Royal Purple isn't an upgrade bro, it's a waste of money in a DD. Where are you hearing that it's better?

Yea, at first it was all fine on the stock gap, even thought it was all over the place, but then a few months later everything went down hill. Now I have all four set at 0.030 so let's hope that will last longer. I just test drove it right now with the tune on and it still pulls but not as hard anymore. Maybe I really do need to retune it. LOL

Well, after the new plugs went in, it seems like the power went down a bit but at least it's not misfiring anymore. LOL :p Ok, back to street racing!

get rid of that royal purple oil as soon as possible. You want the mobile1. Its better and its the manufacturers Recommendation. Tuned or not, you shouldnt need to change the gap of the plugs or change the oil.

I've recently been having these problems, third gear at wide open throttle. Flashing check engine light, and I can actually feel the misses as I accelerate. Only cylinder one though and it's not the plug as I've swapped it with cylinder number two. The second time I did it to try and see if it was the plugs, the car did the same but added a loud wop or bang noise once from the engine. I thought I blew out my IC but It it holds boost in other gears fine.

Switched my coil packs between one and two so ill try to see if it switches to cylinder two.

None of these. Stock gap is .035.

For the stock turbo don't go any tighter than .030 and no bigger than .032. Personally I would go a little closer to .032.

So the stock gap of .035 is not as desireable as .032? Why did GM do that?
