so i was bored last night and found a used k&n SRI on craigslist. i was just wondering if this would be sketchy to buy a used one. there goin for like 210$ on zzp and this used one,the guy wants 250 in which i will offer him like 150 since its used. but would i have to worry about anything with buying a used one?

what parts come with it? if anyone knows off the top of their head by chance.

Used should be fine but he's asking to much. Buy a oiling kit or new filter for insurance if you need the reassurance . One screw in hose attachment is plastic be sure to check that piece.

 

yea,ill be sure to check. the person selling is kind of being a nut sack about it. i found this originally like a month ago and emailed him and got pictures and info and i asked him to meet to buy it but he never emailed me back. so this is the 10th time emailing him on trying to pick it up. so i will prolly end up buying a new one since this person selling is being a douche. but i guess we will see what happens

 

Buy new. Don't mess with that used crap.

 

Buying used is a great way to save money if you buy a quality part from the right person. This guy sounds like a clown, I'd probably stay away from him and look for another person selling one.

 

i just bought my K&N SRI and installed very easy install! and fitment was damn good. and all i have to say is holy hell its amazing. cold starts sounds like you have a jet engine under the hood. then goes quiet after that. then it sounds even better going down the road and if you have a forge BPV youll wanna be in boost 24/7 lol

 

yea i mean i offerd him 150 for the intake and never got a email back from him. i wouldnt mind shaving a few bucks here and there when i can. K&N is a good name but ill probably just buy new. there only like 215 from modernperformance. i cant wait until i get it tho. i put a k&n drop in filter in and that really made the BPV come alive so im hopin it gets even louder with the SRI. i loveee the WHOOSH lol

who knows tho maybe this guy will come to it and actually want to sell this intake that he has had posted on craigslist for over a month. either way,ill be getting a SRI
