Vacuum/boost lines + bpv solenoid: what goes where?

Attempting to undo some of the things done by the previous owner, including getting rid of the manual boost controller. However, I can't figure out how/where all these lines go.

I have a dual port wastegate, a port off the cold-side charge pipe, a port off the manifold, a port off the BOV, and the three ports on the stock solenoid. Can anyone explain how to plumb all these?

On a side note, is there any kind of a "max boost" the factory solenoid can handle?

is this an external or internal wg? take a pic of the setup from front of car. idk what solenoid ur talking about, there is the one on the intake manifold for the bpv, or bov if that's what he did, and there is one on the turbo for the wastegate. need to see exactly how this stuff is setup to be able to help u with the lines. I can tell u how they go stock, but nothing sounds stock on this setup

BPV/BOV solenoid from the manifold
BOV
Manifold port
Cold side charge pipe w port
Dual port external tial Wastegate with s256et

I'm referring to the manifold-mounted solenoid. This setup is with the s256et, tial wastegate and BOV

Ok here is what id do. I'm assuming u want to go back to factory boost control which is why ur getting rid of manual boost controller. Block off the lower cp port with a plug. U don't need it. Toss the bpv solenoid, u don't need that either. U will want to disable it in hptuners. If the 256 doesn't have a boost referance port in it, then u will need a tee just off the manifold port. Off manifold into tee, one side of tee goes to bov, other side goes to one of the bottom wg air ports, If ur running spring pressure, if ur gonna use a stock boost solenoid, that line would instead goto the metal port on the boost solenoid and the side port would goto one of the bottom air ports of the wg. If u have a boost referance port on turbo, then that will goto the metal port on solenoid instead of the one from manifold, if this is the case then the port on the manifold only needs to goto the bov. Hope that makes sense

This question will probably just demonstrate my ignorance, but I don't do any of my own tuning or fully understand factory boost control. main goal is wanting to get it so a tuner can control boost ramps.

How exactly is boost ramp controlled? How does a tuner adjust boost/ramps if I don't use the solenoid?

Also what about the third port on the solenoid? End port opposite the metal one

I'm slowly catching on. Controlled by the boost solenoid down on the stock turbo. So u technically can bypass the bpv solenoid and still tune boost. Pretty sure I don't have that solenoid....

How should I set up this thing so there's any control over ramps? Gotta get a boost solenoid?

Bpv solenoid u showed in the pic has nothing to do with boost. You need a stock boost control solenoid to control boost and ramp it. https://www.maperformance.com/produc...SAAEgI9VfD_BwE

The 3rd port is just a boost bleed off port, on stock turbo it goes back to intake , on ur turbo Its just left open

Thanks for the help. Think I got it figured out, just always get boost solenoid and bpv solenoid switched around in my head.

what about upper port on the wastegate?

Does the solenoid you provided a link for match the gm harness plug or will it have to be spliced in? Their website says this one will work:

I know there are two solenoids (boost and bpv), but is there a physical difference between the two? I can't find a picture of the boost solenoid, but from what I've seen, this matches the picture of the bpv solenoid. This is the boost solenoid I need?

Hard to put into words, or fit everything into a picture. Does this drawing look correct? Manifold teed into bov and metal port off boost solenoid. Solenoid side port to wastegate bottom port. Solenoid end port open. Charge pipe port capped, upper wastegate port capped, wastegate top open.
