vince, tell me about invisitune.
can ya get a little indepth about it? i want to tune my balt, but i dont wanna lose my warranty. sounds like an oxymoron, but whatever. anybody ever verify if it works?
Invistune or more commonly referred to as the hide-a-tune (either way gets the job done) is a tune that Trifecta makes that masks your aftermarket tune to show up as a stock tune or GMS1 (if applicable) on the GM tech's Tech2. The Select-a-Tune utilizes the "hide-a-tune" and allows Vince to effectively have 2 tunes on your car. The first tune would be your stock or GMS1 tune (if you'd like) and your second tune would be the tune he creates for you. There are options when getting your car tuned as to how aggressive you'd like your Trifecta tune to be. Also there are options as to how you'd like to switch in-between your tunes. As a default, Vince sets up your stock tune to run from the time you start up the car until you turn off the traction control or go into competitive mode (either one works to switch the tune). Another option is to have the tunes set up to be toggled through your cruise control. I personally have my tunes set up through the CC button; cruise control on is my GMS1 tune, cruise control off is my Trifecta Tune. This is just personal preference.
There are tuned cars that have gone to the dealership with their Trifecta tune and haven't been denied warranty work. I haven't had to have any warranty work done yet but I am not worried about having the tune. Warranty was an issue for me as well... I had a thread on debating whether to get the GMS1 or the Trifecta tune... I ended up getting both haha. Any other questions feel free to pm me if you'd like to call Vince directly he's a great guy he'll make sure all your questions are answered.

If a dealership wanted to find the tune they would. You don't think they're monitoring forums? And I believe rukkee posted that it changes a value in the ECU coding when it's tuned, regardless of if its the stock tune or not.
that being said .. gm will void your warranty even if its the stock tune if they want to void it lol
I know from first hand experience that when the GM tech plugs in the Tech2 it shows the current calibration... not any reflashes or any other things. The tune Vince makes is said to mirror the stock or GMS1 tune (if applicable) when plugged into the Tech2. So at that point there would be no values different in the calibration if it's set up to be the same code as the stock tune... thus making it "invisible". If calibration changes could be viewed through the Tech2, then maybe you'd have a point... but it can't... so unless you blowup your engine and GM wants to send in your ECU, you're fine.
Pricing depends on whether you go through a Trifecta Authorized Dealer or through Trifecta directly. Typically if you go through a dealer you can save a little bit of money compared to going through Trifecta directly (Vince still does the tune, we just install it). Trifecta's website has Vince's direct pricing for the tune but on that website also includes a list of authorized dealers and one may be close to you.

And if someone where to buy the optional cable that Trifecta sells and flashed everything back to stock for every dealer visit does the ECM record that it has been flashed? I'm so paranoid about waranty and I've been back and forth between GMS1, Trifecta and even Superchips for the last 4 months.
I really like the way you have yours set up with Cruise Control ON = Stock and Cruise Control OFF = Tune that way you don't always have the CC light on (or the Traction Control off light). To clarify would it be possible to have CC ON = Stock Tune (Not GMS1) and CC OFF = Tune Also wondering with this setup the Tune is pretty much always on and even when the tune is on (ie. when CC is off) can the dealer detect it? Or do you have to give them the car with CC on lol?
Sorry about all of the questions
i thought it was stock tune with cruise on, cruise off was the standard trifecta tune, and comp mode was infiniboost. 3-in-1 tune. am i correct or no?
the ECM has a flash count, yes... it counts every time.

Haven't got to the dyno yet... the blizzaks are on my baby now
but I hope to get on a dyno sometime in the spring. They're two Mustang dynos within 50 miles of me so I'm thinking of jumping on one of those as soon as I get the summers back on. If I had to speculate... from the research I've done and comparing setups to other people... I should be around 320-330whp and easily over 350wtq. Once again that's speculation... we'll see for sure when I hit the dyno. I'll make sure I post up the sheets when I get them.
I've seen a list of the Independent Trifecta Dealers on here somewhere before but I cant find it again. I do remember that the list I saw was much longer than the list on their site. Does anyone know where this list or link to it is?
