Wet shot nitrous LNF

Recently bought a direct port 100 wet kit. Basically thinking i’ll have to run a small secondary fuel cell with a line going to the auxillary injectors w. A split second controller. I’d be using a wot box for my window switch probably. Trying to make 600+whp on the original block.

Just something to read up on. I think with the added stress it won't last long at all.

It'll be interesting to see it done. I'm curious as to what the stock sleeves will hold. You have an interesting mix of "go fast in a straight line" and "go fast around corners" parts.

I'm most interested in your F23 swap. Did you detail how to did that anywhere (HHR Forum, maybe)? I've been looking into it, but most of the threads I've found have vague information and/or aren't very detailed.

Some of the stuff seems self explanatory - F23 shifter cables, thermo housing, F23 mounts. The axles and spindle information is more vague. I seem to recall reading that to keep using the LSJ/LNF clutch/flywheel, a spacer is required too.

im not too worried about the sleeves, i have a good tuner and im using 86mm pistons so the sleeves arent dangerously thin. But i might build another LNF shortblock over the winter to use with the nitrous. 2007 LNF or junkyard LHU + darton sleeves + closed deck

Honestly i would have to make a thread. I swapped from automatic so it was pretty straightforward in terms of things i couldn’t use

I think using F23 axles and swapping to the 5-lug non-SS wheel bearings might be what I'll do.

The trans spacer is the only other thing I'm really concerned with. I read about it, but never see any real info about it.

Thats what most lsj guys do. LNF cars are easier to swap. I just posted an F23 parts list thread

no recent videos. I’ll get some in a few weeks. Dropping the motor again, replacing the exhaust manifold studs with some longer arp’s and fixing a small leak at the water pump. The only thing i wish was different is the gear ratio. I have 4.17 and i want 3.95 or maybe even 3.63

That 4.17 is probably good for Autocross/Track days... but I'd doubt it's great for drag racing.

Do you launch in 2nd? That power level should be able to do it; whether or not the clutch likes it is a different story. It'd be pretty close to what the 1st gear is in a Corvette or Camaro.

I didn't realize the gears were so short. This is what I ran in my foxbodies over the course of 15 years.

i might do a tiny tub, its probably not needed though. Im pretty sure 26x9-15 will fit easily though. 24.5x8-15 fits with plenty of room

i do a second gear burnout, i would probably be better off launching in second as well. Its a clutchmasters fx400, it’ll probably be okay

I also use to do my burnouts in 2nd gear. I was launching at 6k with a 6500 rev limiter and I was hitting second before the 60 ft mark. I usually shot my 175 shot as soon as I hit second. I was running 1/8th mile but when I did it in the 1/4 it was as soon as I hit 3rd. The car really ran out of rpm in the 1/4. I was having to go into 5th as soon as I crossed the finish line.
