This happened about 2 years ago, but I thought I’d share. The picture below is a Southbend stage 4 purchased and installed by ZZP. This was actually the second one they installed - the first one was replaced under warranty (after 6 months) due the clutch not disengaging fully making it extremely hard to get into gears.

The clutch ended up exploding as seen here, the transmission tore it up. Before you blame the driver, it’s worth noting that I’ve driven manuals for the past 10 years or so with various cars. I fully understand and correctly know how to rev match, downshift, etc. I’m not a racer or aggressive driver and this happened during my regular work commute.

The story ends with me ordering a Clutch Masters Stage 3 and changing it myself. At the time - I had an understanding boss, a 2nd car, and extra days of vacation time stored. I’ve put around 20k miles on it so far and quite happy with it. With ZPP’s adjustable clutch rod, I was able to get the clutch to engage and act like the stock clutch which is really the feel I like the most.

I can report back that my clutch has held 390 whp and 300ish wtq with a stock LNF pressure plate and flywheel with upgraded 6 puck sprung disc well. A very good route to go for those interested.
