Bryan, 06black tuned me(he's out of Michigan), it slipped the clutch bad every time it's been on a dyno so I'm not really sure, definitely north of 300.

You're telling me. I have trouble blowing past my cousin in his basically stock wrx because I have to shift late where boost falls off or else my clutch slips to hell. Glad I'm putting the car up soon for the clutch to be installed and a whoreload of modz.

if you don't have hp tuners you will have to find a tuner either near you or that you can travel to so they can load the tunes. if you have or are getting hp tuners software then you can load the tunes yourself and have which ever tuner you choose to email you the tune files. byt uses hp tuners. contact backyard turbo on the supporting vendor section if this is who you choose. any of the other tuners.....chevycobaltss3, mdub, byt, term2, zzp or any of the known hptuners here could do an email tune for you

Yup driving around town normally I shift over 3k, and when I'm on the highway and have to pass someone I cant step on it until around 5k lol.

How about thinking about those of us who would rather hide the extra horsepower when other drivers need to use the car? Soooo.... the idea is: Wife drives - docile GMS1, I drive......bigger tune. Unless you guys are honestly thinking repeatedly flashing back and forth every time the car switches drivers, I suggest a clue-check. We all have good reasons for the **** we do.

I agree, there's times I leave it in super slow mode for Valet people. If my cruise control is off when I get back in my car, I think I'd be pissed. Hasn't happened yet, but I will be.

I choose trifecta because I wanted something safe and conservative and something that wouldn't break my car. I didn't know HPT could be conservative then when I made my decision, but I do now. Not a tuner at all, but from what I understand they can both be safe.

Yeah, it takes less than 30 seconds to write a tune to the PCM, the cool thing about HP Tuners, is I can adjust things myself, and not rely on ONE person to send me revisions. And for other drivers using my car that doesn't happen. One of the main reasons people like trifecta is because they think it's hidden from the dealership for "warranty" issues.

Conclusion to the story! Don't let Ure wife drive the car. And heres another point. I don't have to flash my car for less or more aggressive .. its called learn to drive ure csr. Lead foot means more power. Drive conservativly.

Yeah I wanted something safe and reliable as well. I liked the idea of 'select a tune' and that it seems like people rarely have trifecta issues. Seems most of the faulty clutches are from HPT. And yes I know that HPT can be safe too, it's just personal observations from this forum.

Thanks for the enlightenment - I'm only partly concerned with the safety of the tune, because when I add the tune, I'm not planning on a 9/10's run-till-it-snaps tune; just something to account for the future addition of the performance pipes and possibly bigger IC. But I would like to have the choice of pushing the kill switch, since my significant-other-driver doesn't normally do turbo (and she doesn't HAVE to know how fast it really is after everything is done )

Swapping tunes just ain't smooth enough, tho.

adjusting the wastegate duty cycle correction in hp tuners can help alot with clutch slip.

^ Thats pretty sweet. I've got mine set to traction control and competitive mode. That little light for the cruise being on all the time would bother me lol.
