I hope you just made a typo and won't be wiring off of your maf.. You'll need to tap off of the manifold map sensor for boost reference

Not the maf but the wire you need to tap into is the manifold map sensor and the write is lime green iirc when I did my meth kit

idk, instructions say wire goes to maf sensor singal. this runs on maf not boost. its a snow kit. so if it says get ur signal from maf why would i tap into map sensor?

your tapping the lower one on the charge pipe right? im not sure on the color, but it should be second one in from the left......

if you tap the wrong one, as soon as you turn the key on it will spray, so you'll know if it's wrong!

well since no one could give me a straight answer i got the maf wireing diagram and hooked into the yellow mass air flow signal wire. snipped it, and soldered in the wire to the controller. system is all up and running and works great. sprays depending on airload going into the motor not air pressure in manifold. no to get the bung installed so i can actually finish hooking it up.

hmm.. I honestly had no idea the snow performance kit referenced air load %'s instead of boost signal. ya learn something new everyday. Good info to know..

Yea I didn't know there was a kit that was MAF based vs boost activation, it actually seems like it would be a better method since it's related to air coming in so it's spraying accordingly vs just a constant spray after a certain manifold pressure is reached, or on a progressive style kit, just guessing which boost level you think it should start spraying at and when it should be at full spray...question is, when does the meth start spraying on the MAF style kit? I assume it would be when the incoming airload exceeded a certain amount (MAF frequency) but the nice thing about boost activation is you can physically see/know when it's going to start spraying...curious to learn more about how the MAF based kit works

Also curious as to if it's more of a pain in the ass to tune for vs a boost activation style kit

what u figured is exactly right. it actually pretty easy to to dial in, just turn the dial and give it a test, probably a little more of a pain than boost controlled system. the recommended start time i cant use cause of cat warm up mode, it starts to spray. lol but ya, i guess ill have to do some reading on whats the best to set it at. as for tuneing for it, dont know. im not gonna tune for it, i just want it for cooling and better gas, i am hoping vince will lean my tune out a bit for it though. its my excuse to get him to do it, cause he wont otherwise . lol

kit install almost done. just got to drill the charge pipe and install the nossel. i did put a toggle switch with an led in my car to tune system on or off depending if im using it or not. dont really want it on when driving on stock tune, plus it lets me know if the system is energized and no fuse is blown or any other electrical issues that could arise. i thought it was a good idea anyway
