I know this is LNF section....but i have gotten 31 hand checking and 31.something with DIC, and thats when driving the **** out of it on highway on ramps and running 80mph when on the highway (on ramps about 25-35% of driving, no joke, take one to work which is 3.2 miles away going there and one back which is 2.8 coming home). Any hill i encounter i push in the clutch and pop it in neutral or when slowing down, thats how i make up for the having fun I have a 2.2, hopeing like HELL to get a boosted balt soon though!

Yea, you are lucky, my work commute is 70 miles a day + whatever else I drive. I got the car last thursday and not going too far out of the its already past 500 miles. The warranty is going to go quickly at this rate lol, well that and the tires.

i get 30 in city only driving....thats driving like a grandma. I'll push 35 highway.

Don't reset it every few days. let it go a few weeks...if you can bring it up over the long haul then you know you are getting good mileage. It averages your mpgs over the long haul...

for example. if you are at 28mpg for 200 miles and are able to bring it up to 29.5 at 300 miles then you were really getting well over 30MPG that last 100....make sense?

I just drove from Mayport, FL to Bremerton, WA (roughly 3200 miles). Did it in two days and made about 32 (at an average speed between 75-80) MPG for the entire trip.

Now that I'm in town and driving in the city I get about 26-28

thats not that bad if thats the average between city and highway, if thats what you are getting on the highway then yes you are getting bad fuel economy, I usually get over 30 on the highway.

28.5 to 29.1 during the week driving to work.
Most of that is HWY but about 10 miles of stop and go going to work. I do get a brake on the way home at 3 am with very little traffic.

1 35 mile trip on the HWY I was avg 32 mpg.

In September I will be driving to Yellowstone and that will be almost 4000 miles so I will really get to see what she will do on a really long trip.

I have been getting 27.+ on average. That's with a few blasts through the gears every time I'm in it. I do try to remember about saving gas while I'm driving maybe like 20% of the time driving. Approx. 1200 miles on the car.

well, i just did an 1100-mile round trip to my family reunion...that's a lot of highway miles, and a lot of ass-backwards make-one-mistake-and-you'll-fall-off-a-100-foot-hillside-in-WVa roads where you don't have the option of safely doing above15 mph, uphill, for 20-30 minutes at a time.

and for the 1100, I averaged 33mpg. about 780 of those miles were highway, rest was...dangerous. lol. and way home, the highway miles were all 80-85mph...i was tired of driving and wanted to get home already.

and you can ignore my post, because i forgot this was a ? for the LNF, not LE5

These cars get their best MPG around 40~45mph in 5th gear. I was able to keep a constant speed with the cruise on for ~15 minutes straight on a relatively flat route. With no A/C, cruise on, 5th gear at ~42mph, I was getting 41 MPG.

Ive been keeping track of this pretty closely seeing this is the original reason that lead me out of my Avalanche and into a little 4cyl. haha. My TC has been getting between 260-270miles/tank, and thats with "not so conservative" driving . Figure 13.2gals per tank, so Im only getting about 20mpg city/highway combined. I know it can do much better than this, but I dont care because I like going fast! haha Plus, its better than the 13-14 I was getting in my truck, and definitely better than the 8-10 my Vette gets.
