Where is the GM stage kit?

We have reached the first quarter of 09 and I havent seen anything about this kit being released...

The BS alarm is beginning to sound for this thing ever happening. Does anybody have some up to date information about it?

that is what i was ******* thinking bout today! i mean come one everyone else got it before christmas....... the only reason i can think it is taking too long is cause the intake needs to be changed..... cause apparently we get way more hp (like 20 more) than all the other lnfs and we might be the one to get the stage 2 kit if it really does come out

Where are you getting this timeframe? I would like to see some official release date info if it even exists.

Bunch of worried Nancys in here.

Kit is already out for the other cars, it exists, we just have to wait for additional content. If you can't wait there are other options out there for you.

I know everyone is talking about when it comes out and what it will do... But does anyone know how much this is going to cost, does it have to be installed by the dealership and if so will they back up the warrenty? Only 5000 miles on the 08 and is parked for winter don't need to loose the warrenty just yet!

1st Quarter of 2009= January 1st - March 31st, so it is currently time for you to play the waiting game along with the rest of us.

Some even say it will come out later than that. GM released the kit for other LNF's which gives SS/TC owners a lot of hope. I am among the people that hope it will come out. Just sit tight and think about sandwiches.

I'm really looking forward to this stage kit. I definitely wouldn't install aftermarket parts myself for fear of something going wrong and not being able to drive to work or have a running car. But if GM builds the parts and installs it, and backs it by their warranty, bring it on! I feel like I have nothing to lose but money for parts and install. Feels like a safe thing to do that won't cause any problems. Great performance gains that are safe and won't exceed the limits of the car.

Some quick info for you guys thinking about getting this stage kit....DONT. My best friend owns a 2009 cobalt, similar to mine, and told me to not even think about it. It replaces a couple of sensors, and gets a tune, thats it. Its pointless. It will put you at around 295 at the crank, when if you spent that same amount on a tune from a pro you will get about 310 at the wheels. Pretty sad.

get all your mods at once, then tune it, and you will be set.

its supposed to be 315 at the crank. so you should have around 295-300 at the wheels. ill keep my warrenty for 10-15 hp.

i have heard that the stage 1 for the sky doesnt really make a difference. has anyone seen a dyno sheet for a sky or hhr? i searched everywhere but couldn't find anything.

I say its more like 285 at the wheel if 315 at the crank, and that is if you only lost 10%.

The stage kit makes 290 in the Solstice, 290 in the Sky, and 290 in the HHR. Why would you think it would make anything but 290 in the Cobalt? I bet it will make 290hp and 315ft-lb of torque just like its does in the HHR.

Retains factory warranty, aftermarket tunes (if caught) do not. Also, w/ the stage kit you can then aftermarket tune for even more boost w/o setting overboost code.
