Where is the vcm?

im feeling really stupid right now if someone can please direct me to where i can find my vcm number that would be great...

Slide it up, look on the back, the number is a 86YRUD something number. PM me that number

You're not stupid. Most people aren't tuners and don't know where that number is. Stupid is coming on here asking why your shifter cable broke after jamming it into gear during a NLS.

its not a vcm anymore, its a pcm (powertrain control module) on a serial data line that connects to other modules (networks) like tcm and bcm


but yes in the engine bay right infront of the fuse box or the box with a red cap

Technically its not a PCM either. Vehicles wtih a TCM(transmission control module) have a seperate ECM(engine control module). If they don't have a seperate module for transmission, then the module that controls the engine would then control the transmission as well, hence PCM(powertrain control module). Not that it really matters, just FYI.
