This is why oil catch cans exist?

Just took off my stock intake for a K&N Typhoon I got DIRRRRTTT cheap locally.

Notice this oil pooling, as well as a bit of residue throughout parts of the stock intake... nothing substantial. Just curious if this is normal?

Normal for an LNF to have oil in the intake after the PCV? Yes. That seems to be a bit excessive though. I've never seen much more than an oily film in mine. You seen to have a puddle going there.

Good to know its more or less normal.

The stock intake was really clean, and I didn't find much oil anywhere else.

^ x2...

Better at the intake then at the manifold runners. Seeing oil in either locations are not ideal.

Really want to get the PCV upgrade! Will this work with the WR-3? And did you make the revisions to fit better with the K&N John?

It just pools there cause its the lowest point, if u have blowby a bit, it may just film ur intake but eventually it will cause a puddle. I have a film to I just wipe it off. Even on new engine, same thing. No biggy. When I had my 4g63, that shot alot of oil out the vent hose lol

on a direct injection engine oil pooling in the inlet out of the pcv is an issue/ not a " no biggy". And vented to the atmosphere race style engines for the street are not very nice due to the fumes. Just sayin'
