Wtf?!?!

So I gave it in first shifted into second and then boom check engine light came on and the engine just felt like it was gonna die I made it back to my house. It sputterd all the way there and would give the check engine light when I hit the gas. Even when I let it sit in Idle the rpm's were bouncing up and down. ANY IDEAS?!?!?! The engine just cruising at 3000 rpms in 4th gear was shaking the car back and forth...

hmmm... My hahn charge piping would blow off of the htrottle body everyonce in a while if i got on it. cor ran like crap when it blew off. CEL just coming on when u press the gas?

Ya at first the CEL would only come on when i hit the gas then it just started blinkin constantly.

My exhaust rattles BAD. LOL

my wheel hub bearing always goes bad..

and my cat is clogged. (boosting 15psi on stock supercharger pulley at the top end of fourth gear)

(need to install new exhaust!!!!!!!)

Just another day in the life of a cobalt owner.

It's got 31k miles on it so it should cover everything but wear and tear items like the clutch right?

hmmmm... im wondering if something is up with ur MAF, or if a vac line blew off somewhere. have you checked all the charge piping yet?

brakes, clutch, ect... yeah doesnt cover wear and tear items like those.

And yeah id hit up the dealer if ur stock. theyll cover it.

I agree with black. Check for a cracked intercooler endtank, or cracked/loose charge piping. If it's not that, it's more than likely internal.

so unless your car was above let's say 2500rpm? It would feel like it's about to stall?

sounds like a major boost leak. I had similar symptoms when my hot side stock piping blew apart...litereallly. was able to drive it home and was gonna take it to the dealer the next day but it would hardly start, I had to keep the revs up in order to keep it running. It eventually died out and I had to have it towed in. Check all your connections and piping for leaks. our ecu will go ape s*** with any type of funky air readings

I know I'm an SS/SC guy, but I had a Reduced Engine Power last week due to a bad MAP and Barometric Pressure sensor. Take it into the dealer, they'll pull the codes.
