Angry Wtf man.

Alright so, I have a damn near stock 2009 SS/TC.
The only upgrade is a HAHN CAI.

Well, the other day I was on my way to have my CEL codes read, and on the way back, I managed to drive over Texas's biggest ditch.
I bottomed out, doing around 5-10 MPH.
And immediately afterwards I was getting zero boost.
The codes that were read were p0101, 0420, and 0455.
The very next day, a friend of mine decided to pull the codes, which were the sameand then cleared them.
After that my car wouldn't start without the MAF being plugged in.
Took it to the dealership and they refuse to do anything because of thecar being straight piped.(previous owner.)

I would love to do a boost leak test but I have no compressor and very few tools.
Any input?

sounds like you broke your intercooler. at least if you bottomed out bad the end links could have a hole in them.

Stupid question, but how can I check the IC for leaks?
And surprisingly the damage under the car is not too bad. At least visibly.
I would post pics if I had the car with me.

The only way is to really do a boost leak test.

Theres a member on here, SSlobalt, he has a link to how to make a boost leak tester.

You could also, start the car and spray brake cleaner around the end links on the intercooler and if the rpm's shootup a bit then you know you have a boost leak.

You can pretty much see if the Intercooler is done for.. The plastic cracks pretty easy..

ZZP is the way to go for a replacement.

Okay. I'll check in the morning when I get her back.
But that wouldn't cause the CEL or the non starting with the MAF would it?

Yes it absolutely would. I would bet money that your intercooler is busted.

Okay, the catchcan you mentioned; that is separated from the intercooler on the passenger side.
Is that a necessity or can that be replaced. Or am I just looking at an entire intercooler?

Just my luck. Lol.
Any other recommendations than ZZP?
Or is that just the best to go with?

I broke that thing off the bottom of mine and what I originally ended up doin was buying someones busted stock intercooler off them for cheap. Then switched out the broken ends. I then had one intercooler with two broken pieces and one with none Eventually I went with ZZP though

Treadstone TR8, ZZP low clearance IC (the one thats not gigantic), MPx IC. Theres probably a whole slew of them out there. Treadstone and ZZP are pretty cheap ICs. Just got to decide if you want an IC with end tanks that show at the bumper or no visible end tanks at all and just all core.

fuzzy photo but stock IC shows no end tanks

TR8 IC

TR8 is thicker than the factory IC and alittle taller. Its alittle bigger in volume too, 90 cu. in bigger???.
ZZPs is probably the same thickness but longer so no endtanks and naturally alittle more volume.

Last photo was clear cause I figured out the stupid camera settings..

Buy ZZP. Treadstone IC mounting is inferior in every way to ZZP.

The condenser is hanging on by a thread. Don't know if that matters.
And because I don't have access to a compressor, I sprayed the end caps and piping with Brakeclean.
Well as much as I could without removing the bumper.
And not much happened. No difference in sound nor idle.
It gets hard when the only tools you have are screwdrivers and some channel locks. >=[
So if anyone is in the Ft. Hood/Killeen area who is willing to lend a hand and some tools, its greatly appreciated.

Side question: could a hole in the rubber hose on the cold side connecting to the IC cause the same issues?
