ZFR longevity and durability
I bought the full size and like 10 minutes after installing it I scraped the **** out of mine leaving the driveway. In a way I do regret getting the full size but I'm not planning on going any lower. My driveway is just a royal PITA. My old Mazda protege that wasn't even lowered scrapes.
That would be me lol, I'm at 107k stock turbo been tuned for E47 for about 20k miles of that, car was completely stock up until then and well maintained by the previous owner, was an older friend.
Dude, if you increase the power you increase the liklihood something breaks. It is as simple as that regardless of the miles on the motor. There are asshats out there that blew the motor on the k04 and there are ones out there pushing 200k on the stock turbo.
It is all about taking care of it and a little luck.

I swapped to the ZFR at 94,000 miles...was tuned since just under 50k @24 psi on K04
You're lucky you do your own tuning. If not, then I doubt you'd even have the ZFR at full potential in 5 days of remote tuning.
I actually plan on buying a dyno soon and opening a shop here in Houston. Its been my dream to work for myself and doing something i love, I'm an engineer and been welding for 16 years, I've fabbed up tons of crazy things when people said it couldn't be done.
Can't wait until friday, already took the day off to do the install
Still a bit worried how the LSJ tranny will be, I've been babying the crap out of it since i installed it, but I got some good tuning advice over at hptuners forms so I'll be good. Hopefully I won't run out of fuel on E47.

I'm coming to CT this June for like 4-5 days for my gfs cousins wedding. I volunteered to drive my cat if it's running. You better be prepared.
What's wrong with lower hanging one. Sure the smaller one is safer, but I got the most shitty roads around and I haven't had an issue. Just don't be parking on the curb when u park and u good.

4.05, 4.45 or F40??
Im sure you cat is not up for such a long trip lol
not really shitty road, but more in changes in grades/incline. Pretty much where ever you can scrape the lip, ...go straight and level into an incline at someones garage/ a gas station or even a dip and let me know how that work out.
