ZZP Cams Installed

I recieved my cams on Friday, and over the weekend I installed them in the car. Install was pretty easy with the right tools. Heres some pics, and a video pre cam of the idle and a little rev. Post cam vid will be posted up for comparison after the tune. These are the stage one cams with upgraded fuel lobe.

A pic of the cams

Exhaust cam in

Intake and exhaust in and torqued down, also I installed a new timing chain just becasue.

All timed up.

Has not had any tuning as of yet, but I am able to drive it easy on the current tune with no issues, drives like it did before. Also there is not much difference in idle but at idle I can hear the turbo more for some reason.

How much clearance did you have to do?

Do it on the car or have to remove head?

In order to do the grinding, you need to do it off the head, I would just go with the ZZP springs if I did it again. On some I only had to remove about 1/16 of an inch and some an 1/8th of and inch. And then you have to clean the head very good.

I thought you had a ZZP Turbo kit. Did you get turned away for some reason or did you have them fab you up a kit with the precision turbo? If its performance autowerks, I'd like to know the responsiveness of the kit. I got tired of waiting for the efr and dont have time to drive up to byt and let him have my car for a while.

Nice man. I dont think winter can get here fast enough for me to start my build. Grinding down the valve springs. Is this just with the supertech ones or zzp also.

What's the point of upgraded fuel lobes? Sorry, trying to learn and couldn't find it in search. CMiller, I know you recommended EFR for me, but you're making it harder for me to stay away from these lol

Everything on my car is ZZP. I just put a pte5857 in place of a 259et borg warner.

It still does not sound like that lol, it is pretty stock sounding, all the power is mid range and up since there turbo cams. Not really sure but I think if we didnt have the vvt we would have bigger cams that sound more like that. The stage two turbo cams for the lsj have a pretty good lope to em.
