ZZP Dyno Tune vs Trifecta Tune

Hey guys, I am looking at getting the car tuned sometime soon and torn between driving the 3 hours each way to zzp for a dyno tune and have them install the stage 1 map sensors just to have them, or to go through a vendor here and purchase a trifecta tune with the cable. They will cost about the same (minus the little extra I would be spending to have new map sensors put in). I do like how zzp will be tuned over a dyno so they can sort things out from their basic tune, and plus I'll have some dyno numbers to show for it. While the trifecta I like because I can drive around with my stock tune (car is a dd) and when I want to have some fun turn on the tune. Also if anything arises I do not need to drive the car 6 hours for any changes as I would have the cable and could have vince flash me some changes or remove the tune all together if I wanted.

Any thoughts on this? Anyone have any experience with zzp's tune? whether it be dyno tuned or just their pcm flash? I have read tons on trifecta but theres not much out there for zzp. And please do not turn this into a hptuners vs trifecta debate. I want something that is safe and will still give me some good gains.

Only mods are k&n intake and zzp catless downpipe, only future mods for performance would be upper charge pipe and maybe an intercooler one day.

ZZP is the way to go you can get larger gains through hptuners

Of course ZZP/Hptuners would be the better choice but if you have problems/retuned you have to drive another 3 hours. Im personally Trifecta ECP tuned and and ive received 10+ Revised tunes from him and my car is running great..ive also been on his normal tune and liked that aswell. Dont listen to peoples bs talking about trifecta as far as saying there tune was off blah blah blah there tune was off because they didnt send in data logs and spend the time to help vince get the car running correctly. I choose trifecta because ZZP is the closest Hptuners to me and I bought parts over time and didnt feel like driving 2 hours each way to get retuned.

But if your just looking for something safe with a gain best bet would be trifecta.

Looks like trifecta numbers are higher than zzp will tune for too, both are within limits for stock clutch and everything. I'm not looking to pinch every last hp out of a tune as well. One question I have with trifecta is can they do boost reduction in first gear like hpt to aid with traction?

Yes they can. They can do whatever you ask them to do. I've found that some people get a base tune, don't log or may already have something wrong with their car, don't ask questions or make requests, and then wonder why they may not make power they wanted or why the tune isn't perfect.

Trifecta can do everything others can and more, you just need to ask them to.
