ZZP fuel pump rewire kit
In this picture this where the leads from the rewire kit connect to the factory leads from the fuel pump and you can notice a big difference in what gauge wire it drops down to. The wires on the right side of the connection is the rewire kit side.
Pink being the power is such a larger gauge wire, is the difference in the wiring size the cause of them burning?
The pink wire is toasted right at the relay and the relay is completely melted.
Hey guys so I have been having quite a few headaches lately with the fuel pump relay that comes with the ZZP rewire kit. Within the last 3 weeks I have noticed either the inline fuse or the relay being melted. Just about 3 months ago the car went into ZZP for a new engine build and I had them install the AEM E85 safe fuel pump. Before the build the rewire kit was already installed on the stock fuel pump and I never had any issues with it. But ever since the build it has been nothing but a pain in my ass. Is the new pump drawing too much power? Is there a short in the wiring? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! Pics will be posted of all connections made and what the old relay turned out to be.
thanks guys

I replaced all the connections on the relay and where the wires splice into the factory loom about 2 weeks ago and already the power wire has started to look burned.
