sheesh for the last 2-3 weeks people were just a bitching that the cams didn't come separate. As they did not want to pay 2g's, well now you can get the cams for 1/3 of that.

Well I think we will have to see some conclusive tests to determine that.

True.. you can just get a upgraded turbo/turbo kit and get all the power this car would ever need.

so how much would it cost to get these installed with new valves and springs and whatnot? and for what gains? if its too much for too little gain then its really not worth it.

While it may not for stock turbo car, it could very well be for a big turbo car

Valve springs and retainers are $300 more so $999.99. Install if you didn't do it your self... I'm going to say 4.5-5 hrs at my local shop rates of $50/hr $225-300 with tax. so grand total (not doing it your self) 1200-1400 ish.

Yeah, I've been lurking and trying to figure out if I want these or not, and I wasn't expecting $700, and then you have to add even more for springs/retainers, and I wouldn't be too hopeful for more than 30hp out of just cams, although they add on for future gains. I'm sure they're an awesome product, just a little too pricy for me right now.

stage 1 cams for $700, I'll pass

I think I can wait for the stage 2 cams which will be more aggressive/bigger. It will make more sense for me

I think you will be waiting awhile, I believe matt said they were pretty far out but I could be wrong

If you upgrade your turbo, you really need new springs/retainers anyway. Labor is the same to do that with or w/o cams.

Stage 2 cams are a bit out and will be more as they will require lash adjusters or different lifters.
