ZZP Upgrade 252et kit?

Question? How many people have this kit?

Do you like it?

Have you ever Broke anything on your car with the kit?

How reliable is the Kit has a 252et Turbo ever failed on these cars?

My dad wants to get me something for my Graduation Gift and I want this, I just want input.

Thank you.

Modifying a car that much as you're getting out of college, attempting to start a career is a bad idea. There will be lots of downtime involved with the car.

tell him to pay your insurance for a year or some of your student loan. THAT would be the right idea

Borg Warner makes some badass turbos. They are very nice and very powerful. I would definitely get it.

That's a hell of a gift. Remember, you need a clutch with it.

And valve springs along with charge piping and an intercooler if you havent already went aftermarket.

Your best bet is going to be getting a catback exhaust, intercooler, charge piping, valve springs, a clutch, and probably a downpipe and intake with a tune if you don't have any of those things. Since youd be getting a downpipe and intake with the kit, you really wouldnt need em, but I'm just letting ya know its gonna at the very least cost you a grand more on top of their s252et kit due to the things you need to support that kit safely.

Have you ever Broke anything on your car with the kit? If you have a good tune and don't drive the car like an ******* everyday I'm sure everything with hold up

How reliable is the Kit has a 252et Turbo ever failed on these cars? Good tune = good to go

My dad wants to get me something for my Graduation Gift and I want this, I just want input. I think it would be a badass gift if your dad is willing to buy it

Thank you.

I have a ZZP kit, had the 252 for awhile, great turbo, no issues. I now have a different turbo and the kit is still perfect.

I have two S252 kits, one my sedan and a used kit on my coupe.. one on the coupe (used kit) is running great no problems, the other S252 kit on the sedan, the TC had an oil leak overnight which cause the exhaust turbine to destroyed itself in the process (most likely from doing back to back runs in florida heat), for now -I'm waiting for Bullseye to tell me if the S252 is recoverable, if it isn't -I'll go get either the S256 or wait 6-12 weeks for the EFR 7064 or 7670 and get a E85 retune..

I'll say this - the supporting mods in the ZZP S252/256 kits are top notch.. from the intercooler to all of the charge pipes..

IMO - your best bet is, get the ZZP S256 kit (it will support over 500+whp), but keep it under 27 psi - once you get a comfy with this setup.. (400+WHP)

then later down the road.. get the upgraded ZZP tranny/flywheel, ZZP stage 4+ clutch, ZZP stage 1 cam w/HPFP lobe, ZZP valve springs, ZZP balance shaft, ATI harmonic balancer and a ZZP or BYT retune.. (500+WHP)

then get the pistons, rods, valves and another ZZP or BYT retune - again later down the road.... (600+WHP)

Stage four holds just fine. Matt is still on the stage four at 500 ftlbs.+

Wish i would have picked up a kit instead of going the route i did. Friend has a 252e on his and his car is a beast. Enjoy the build on whatever you decide.
