zzp vs. mpx vs. bad-mab

So I got new tires today. Next up is the downpipe. I like the sound of the catless mpx dp, but have been hearing alot of good stuff about the zzp catless. Im definitely going with a trifecta tune soon and am ordering a K&N cai as well.

So what would you guys recommend? ZZP or MPx? (And now I am hearing about the Bad-Mab dp). Looking for the better mix of sound vs. functionality. Prefer a faster response from the turbo. Any input is great.

Honestly a 3" catless dp is gonna be the same no matter who you buy it from. Just make sure you get the O2 bung welded in. Badmab that's included, ZZP charges extra for it and I'm not sure about the MPx.

I used to have a ZZP catless before I de-modded (thought I was getting rid of the car). I loved it. I now have a BadMab catless. Love it. Honestly, they're all 3" pipes with some flex pipe, flanges, and an O2 bung...none will sound different from the other...go with whichever vendor you want.

negative.

Thats like saying every movie is the same.

Theres different metals used, different welding, different quality, different bungs and different flex sections.

Catless? get the Megan racing catless dp, $150-160 shipped to your door. It is good quality, excellent fitment and has and angled bung. Although with a tune you can cancel the o2 cel out.

Like Blazin07ss said, your best bet is to go with ZZP -

ZZP comes with the o2 sensor

they charge extra for a 2nd one for a separate wideband sensor, i thought the same thing so i added the o2 bung on the one i ordered for a friend and when i got the dp it had 2 o2 bungs.

i'd highly recommend ZZP........ i just ordered one for a friend of mine and it looked great. the welded looked high quality.

Well that puts it between zzp or badmab. The thini worry about with the badmab is that the flex joint doesn't look as solid as zzp. And I don't know how it holds against rust. Anyone with badmab have any rust formation?

the LNF doesnt need a 2nd o2 bung....unless you REALLY want one and know why you need it. rallycobalt, what do you mean zzp comes with a o2 sensor? dp's dont come with sensors unless you pay for it, but the car already has one so you just unscrew then put it in the new one.

i didn't see anything on their site saying it came with a bung, so i clicked the option to add one and sure enough it came with 2.

ebay and google shopping.

Actually via google Theres one for $148 w/ free shipping from upscale automotive.

ZZP one is good too. But the people I know with the catless zzp ones have thrown cel's in MN. I like the megan racing one myself. If I go catless I'll get that one.

OH hahah thought thats what you meant. Ya the lsj needs 2 for a wideband to tune, but lnf has wideband stock. so confusing until you find out what you need.

ANY catless downpipe can (and more than likely WILL) throw a code. Just depends on how far you go until the car realizes there's no cat there. I went about 10k miles before my ZZP threw a code.

Just sayin.

I have not heard anyone with a hahn throwing a code or megan for that matter. The issue is most with catless get a tune so they can tune out the cel. So its hard to get a real answer.

Removing one of the biggest factors in emission control and believing that a 45 degree angle or an extender on a sensor is going to permanently throw off a computer as advanced as these are is just silly.

If you're going to run catless without a tune to shut your rear O2 off, don't come on here posting a thread wondering why you threw a code. You may be safe for hundreds of miles, you may be safe for a trip down your street. This is not directed at you Northvibe, this is just a statement.

I haven't heard anyone complain about bad-mab, nor ZZP. Both are good pieces. A lot of people run both.

I can say that ZZP's unit is built in America where we pay a high wage to an American worker and I'm proud of that. In a time when people are losing jobs to outsourcing and complaining abou the economy, ZZP is giving good jobs to hard working Americans building quality American parts. bad-mab is a part made in China. Not that it's bad, just depends on what you are comfortable supporting.

ZZP is developing the LNF market beyond any vendor here. It takes a lot of resources to do that. Every sale helps. EVerytime we get orders it's a chance for us to come out with more, faster. Our new bolt in turbo, forged blocks, dual injector setup, LNF cams, turbo upgrade kits, all our custom parts are only made possibly by people like you choosing ZZP when you have a choice. When your sig says "ZZP", you can be proud knowing you supported your own community, American worders, and the development that will allow us to take this platform to new levels...
