driver mod?? dont know what you mean by that. if you mean driving skills i couldnt tell you. i never seen him driving but i know im only about 50 hp behind but about 500-600 lbs lighter. also those cars have no damn traction. my boy is actually setting me up with a new gt that has exhaust but i told him that i aint racing until i get better mounts. but imma get better mounts all around, traction bars and torque dampener before i do it. i just dont feel like braking anything with all this wheel hop.

Now I'm new to the cobalt world, but mustangs have been my arch enemy for awhile. New GT's from what I've seen at the track run mid 13's to high 13's depending on the driver. 3.55 gears arent drag gears by any means, more high way (keep in mind Z28's typically had 3.42's stock). Now from what I've seen, some bolt ons and a stage 2 you can run a high 13. I think it's possible depending on the drivers to hang with him, though beating him would be tough. Best bet would be a slow roll around 5 mph, high speeds favor him and from a drag favor him.

3.55 gears are more ment for the track more then anything. quicker acceleration on the highway at high speeds it will get its ass kicked they lose top end with that gear ration 4.11and 3.73 gears are even worst i had 3.73s in my old mustang gt and i had to learn how to drive it all over again BIG difference .5 second difference in the 1/4 mile

all depends on the motor, your cam and what tranny you have, my ls1 is geared 4.11 in the rear and still kicks ass above 100 MPH. I havent run out of gear yet but then again I dont mess around above 140

Well run him...and when he sees that he has twice the motor you have and you still hung with him, that will just make him look bad.... even though he won.
