Cold air, elevation, clogged cat, faulty reading gauge/sensor, exhaust components all change PSI rating. Higher PSI is not always good as PSI is measurement of a RESTRICTION.

Example: my 80mm TVS pulley only makes 16psi thanks to ported head, header, and catless 3" exhaust. With stock exhaust mani and downpipe with 2.5" catback it made 21psi but was slower

I have a 2.85" pully and I made 17PSI of boost.
But now that I had to remove my K&N I barely
get 15.

X2! More boost doesnt always mean more power. I've got a 2.8" pulley and hit 15psi. I take it as a good thing

With a good set up someone with a 3.0" pulley could beat a 2.8... It's all in the tune and supporting mods

If you have stock exhaust you will see 16-17psi on a 2.9 at low elevation. I saw about 16.5 on stock exhaust and 2.9, now I see 15 on a 2.7

yes, yes it does. with the raw intake it screams, sexy sound. but i want to drop pulleys again. gonna maybe man up and try the 2.5 but im afraid of my stock pistons. but i am running about 25 percent more efficient than stock balts... maybe more when i get my 3in dp
